So regardless of tonight's result, Oregon's boosters want Kelly out because he doesn't fraternize with them as much as previous coaches have.
That's sad. He's there to win football games, not kiss up to the money men.

You dont get what I am saying. The Big 10 gets many of these new years game invites even though they dont deserve it. They are guaranteed births even if their teams are mediocre at best. last year Boise was ranked 7th and still got a ******** bowl where any Big 10 team ranked in the top 20 is pretty much assured a new years day game. If the MWC teams did get mutliple invites they would do as good as 2-13 because its almost impossible to do worse. The 3rd and 4th place teams in the MWC would beat the 3rd and 4th place teams in the big 10 if they played on a neutral field just s many times as they would lose IMO.

OK, Purdue probably didn't deserve the "Heart of Dallas Bowl" this year..... (why the obsession with New Year's day bowls vs. BCS bowls? As the wiki link shows, all the top conferences (except for the ACC) are basically .500 in BCS bowls). Quote:
http://espn.go.com/college-football/standings What i'd like to see are the 3rd and 4th place SEC teams (Florida and LSU) take on some clowns from the Big East like Louisville or worse yet, some joke from the ACC like Clemson. We all know the SEC can't lose to undeserving conferences like those.

Notre Dame couldn't beat a wet paper sack the past 2 years and were unranked in the preseason.

Well, boom goes the dynamite for Oregon.
5 straight 10 win seasons, 4 straight BCS games, 3 straight 12 win seasons, 2 straight BCS wins. I think Chip is gone soon, which is OK. He's given us an amazing four years. I was at the game last night. It was a really great performance from Oregon. Very proud of the way the team, specifically our defense played. Now I just hope we don't get hammered too hard with sanctions. Hoping for no bowl ban. |

I didnt think Northern Illinois deserved a BCS game. Boise had to prove themselves over a 4-5 year span before they ever got a shot like that and they were ranked pretty high all year long, where no one ever imagined No Illinois getting into a BCS game until the day it was announced. I am for the little guys not getting screwed but No Illinois going to the Sun bowl or something like that would not have been scrwing them. You can take those Big 10 teams all you want but 2-13 says all you need to know. They play so many games at home during the season that they get shell shocked when they play on the road and thats why i said MWC vs Big 10 on neutral fields would not be a dominant showing by Big 10.

The Heisman Winner looked great tonight. One big Sooner beat down. 3 more years of him in the SEC. I have not watched a lot of him..... Very impressive.

He looked like that in every game this season. The kicker and 1 or 2 turnovers are what caused the two losses vs. Florida and LSU

I am still watching those Manziel highlights. OU's D was not at the level of prior years, but he still made them look silly out there.

Johnny will-o'-the-wisp looks like Peter Pan the way he darts around here and there like an elusive little pixie; the guy could make you miss in a phone book...jumps in and out of DL's clutches, then outruns DB's, amazing - Johnny Football is flat-out fun to watch. Not a bad arm either. Barring injury (heaven forbid) half the NFL should be tripping over each other in 2015 trying and vying for #1 pick in the draft...maybe even a replay of the "suck for Luck" (Andrew) late season tanking from the QB-starved NFL also rans in Dec., 2014. No "franchise QBs" in this upcoming draft, Jadeveon Clowney (DE, SC) the #1 pick in 2014 and Johnny Manziel in 2015.
And the S.E.C. (and their long time supporters) should embrace the A&M newcomer for restoring the S.E.C. 'brand' this past weekend (along with Ole Miss and their "home game" win).

He is from Tyler (east Texas) and grew up and played HS Football in Kerrville (central part of the state). he was a top 100 recruit out of HS so he was getting tons of attention but is undersized for some programs ( considering the state of Texas football and lack of find solid QBs I find that funny) |
