Whats the rule? Is it the year u turn 35 or do you have to be already 35 to participate?

I turn 35 in October next year and it would be very nice to play the WC!

You can play 35s next year Hankenstein.... I qualify in the 40s age group this year (not playing though) and am 39.

Apparently the club there has about 70 red clay courts, you should feel at home.

I am playing again, but this winter is going to be spent changing my serve. Next year I might get a bit more active!

It's probably my return that inspired him in New York.

the clay courts are very well maintained and the club is fantastic too.
i always come back with a few extra pounds after a week in manavgat with all inclusive
btw, just played the ITF Grade1 tournament in Mallorca. more than 700 participants and the level of play rises every year

Sounds very VERY nice! I am all set. I dont think i will get to play the Team-event so I will be there for the individual event starting March 24. Will play both singles and doubles.

What age-category do you play in?

45+ , playing singles and mixed. no team event for me either. i´m from austria, and there are lots of better players
i´m really looking forward to it, may come a day or two early to practice on the red clay, since there is no playing outside at that part of the year at home

Ah! Mixed! There is mixed as well? How does it work with mixed? Sign in at the event or in advance like singles with ipin?

We start to play on clay in Sweden mid april at earliest, so i have to find a club with Teppich-Granulat to get atleast some clayslide-feel.

well, you can sign in advance if you have a partner.
if you don´t, at ´normal´itf tournies you can sign in at the event as well.
there are usually always some who look for partners. that goes for all doubles events.
it´s my first world championship though, so rules might differ. best to wait for the factsheet to check the rules

Looks great - think I'll go next year. Good luck to you both.

I'm playing a small tournament in Portugal 22-24th March - the start of the comeback trail.

Treblings - I'll look into that Mallorca one this year as well, even though I'm not good on red clay.
