Default Federer's Pro Staff 6.0 85 with Hyper Pro Staff Paintjob

Well you don't see this every day... A seller apparently is in possession of a Pro Staff 85 with HPS paintjob. To quote Breakpoint

"First, he used a HPS 6.0 95 Tour red/black/yellow paintjob on a PS 6.0 85 (since he was still transitioning from it). Then later that year, after Wilson developed the PS Tour 90, he used the same HPS 6.0 95 Tour red/black/yellow paintjob"

The seller wants almost 4000$ for it, I'd almost say it's worth it if the story is really true.

It's clear from the pictures below that the head size is less than 95 inches. The seller also claims that the grip has been finished for a pro player. I mean take it with a grain of a salt if you want, but I'm a believer lol.

The lead tape themselves are worth $1000 of the frame. Great buy!

Well, that does appear to to be a PS 6.0 85 with the HPS 6.0 paintjob, but there's no guarantee that Federer used it or if it was even made for Federer since there may have been other Wilson sponsored pros that used a PS 6.0 85 with a paintjob. In fact, a few years back, TW sold PS 6.0 85's with the PS Tour 90 paintjob that was left over pro stock from Wilson. So obviously, there was enough demand from their sponsored pros that Wilson made a whole lot of them and had a bunch left over to sell to TW.

I bet there will be as much takers for the PS 85 with PST 90 paintjobs as it is with other re-issues.

I should have been maybe more clear in my title, I think the seller only acknowledges that the racket could have been made for Roger, since there may not be that many people that used the PS 6.0 85 with a HPS paintjob. Really awesome thing to see though, maybe Fab Fed should buy it

Hmm, interesting frame.

I actually saw some pics of a PS 6.0 85 with the HPS 6.1 PJ and one with an N6.1 PJ. I posted about this a while back here:

http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showt...=384890&page=3

I wonder who else besides Fed would have sported these PJs on a 6.0 85?

Equijet or FabFed might know. Could you perhaps enlighten us?

This was not found on THAT auction website I'm sure if it was on there it would have been bought by now. This was on Yahoo Japan Auctions, which is much more popular than **** in Japan. You can find a lot of interesting things on there, a lot of older clothing, older rackets in great shape, old shoes, I also saw the Swiss team jacket from the 2008 olympics. I'll have to take a look and see if I can find any Nadal collectables. If anyone would actually want to buy this, I can refer you to many proxies that I have used without fail in the past.

The Tour 90 graphics are my favorite for a PS85. I was lucky to get one.
