Donnay pro one international vs head pro tour 630

Have a pro tour that i love, but curious to know if a donnay pro one (old version from the ninetis might be anything like a pro tour would be if it had an open string pattern? In terms of feel and power, not really looking to go lower in power then the pt....

They are extremely close. Feel indistinguishable. Spin is higher on Donnay.
In terms of power, Donnay is more powerful than PT280, but I would not say that it is more powerful than PT630. It is about the same.

PT280 < Donnay Pro One International <= PT630

Both are pretty heavy ~350-352 g. I've read that both have interchangeable bumpers: CAP bumper on PT630 may be replaced with a short version. What are the two alternative bumpers for Donnay -- I have no idea. I suspect I already have the lighter of the two -- it is a short/regular bumper, not CAP.

Both racquets can be strung with poly with no ill effects, and both hit very comfortably with it.

I thought the PT280 and PT630 were basically the same racquet except for the CAP grommets, with the PT280 for the U.S. market and the PT630 for the European market? Can you please explain the differences between the two? Thanks.

For some reason, PT280 which I have is quite "dead". Not sure what's wrong with it, maybe it is just old. PT630 that I have, on the other hand, feels wonderful -- springy and resilient. Even when strung with poly, it produces a very nice response. I am sure that bumper is not the reason.

Donnay Internernational (I have a black and orange version) is perhaps the closest thing to PT630 in terms of feel. Just mentioning this so that people who hit with it may get a reference point.

While on the subject, the feel of PT280 is similar to i.Prestige -- they are both on the dead side for me.

what is the sw of the pro one int , and are specs same as donnay pro one limited which is 100% graphite ?

Is your 280 chinese made and the 630 made/designed in Austria?
That would explain the feel differences as they are different.

I do not know the SW, but all other specs are exactly like TW published.
The weight is 349g (with overgrip, == 340g without, which matches exactly the official specs).

Mine ( black and orange version, with overgrip and dampener ):

Weight: 352 g (340g frame + 9 g overgrip + 3 g dampener)
Balance: 320 mm / 8 pt HL

TW:
Weight: 340 g
Balance: 6 pt HL
SW: 320

I must say, mine swings much heavier than 320 SW. Donnay X-Dual Pro has SW 320. That thing swing a lot easier than Pro One Intl.

Mine PT630 with overgrip (7 g) and dampener (3 g):
Weight: 354 g / 322 mm / 7 pt HL

My PT280 may be made in China. It only has "Designed in Austria" on it, in small letter inside the throat. PT630 has "Made in Austria" written above the grip.

YT Prestige Pro has a SW of 320 -- easy to swing, by comparison.
IG Prestige MP -- even easier.

are your donnays the tw reissue or original ones made or designed in belgium and made in taiwan which was the last donnay made before they went belly up ?

Mine are original, made in Belgium. I believe, they are the first or the second generation. I was specifically trying to avoid re-issues when buying them.

So if this frame is very much like a pt 630 with but with an open string pattern, why doesnt it have more of a cult following then it does?

Actually, it does. All old Donnay Pro Ones I've seen are selling for higher than PT630s. That's a far better indication than any "cults" whipped up on these forums.
