T20 is a bit of a lottery. There are 8 teams, any of which could beat anybody on their day. New Zealand finished last in their group, yet lost 2 matches in a super over and could have qualified with 1 more run in the Windies game. South Africa came last in their group but lost 1 game by 1 run and another game by 2 wickets with 2 balls to spare.

^ disagree, pakistan have been the most consistant in the years, especially in world cups, 2 finals, 1 winners, 1 semi final loss,
this is the 4th world cup and pakistan are the only team to get past the super 8's everytime (making it every time to the semi's everytime)

It all comes down to Gayle.

Even if Australia win, I doubt Australia will win the final. The pitches are getting slower and favouring spin.

Hard luck Ff Pakistan had a great run though and are a formidable
Twenty20 side, Sri Lanka though at home are looking formidable.

Hoping my boys the West Indies can pull it off today and am quietly confident it's not just about Gayle though the rest of our batters and Narine have a huge role to play!

I agree though its going to be tough for either team to get past Sri Lanka on these slow low pitches.

Wohooo what a performance from Gayle! My boys into the final fornthe first time! Will be tough to beat Sri Lanka in the final but you have to be in it to win it!

missed todays game, but what a peformance by the windies, 2 teams in the final have shown great fight/heart.

already eating humble pie for what i said about windies - great for both teams, windies do have a very good under 19's team, hope they come back to the force they used to be,

Aussies were completely smashed. I don't know what Doherty was doing bowling the final over. No excuses though. Australia were beaten in every department. Looked like a bunch of schoolboys against men. Really embarrassing.

What can I saw, second post of the thread nailed it

Looks like a tedious inevitability, just like the World Cup final last year.
