Hi All,
At this time I'm very interested in working on my FH groundstroke power, particularly from the human body and limb configuration aspect. So, at contact, is your arm and hand at their strongest point when, if you can imagine, the palm squarely faces the net or tilts downward? 2) which is more optimal: elbow in front, parallel or behind the body plane? 3) Wrist can move in many directions, which direction is optimal/encouraged? Thanks. |

Karate chop is hard to beat, but some favor the famous 2" punch to the sternum.
In other words, whatever works for your body type and temperament. |

Go to the girl's/legs section, and look at all the young players hitting forehands. They do a karate chop on their forehands, leading with the edge of their hands. Strong SW grip to full W.
