The Prestige, Extreme and Radical line is the same - Prestige and Radical will probably have the Graphene introduced next year. The PWR line replaces the Star range (granny bats) but there is a Speed, Instinct and Prestige version of different weights. Each racquet line has a continuing colour scheme right through the range from player sticks (prestige mid, speed pro, radical pro) right through to a superlight huge head version in same colour scheme.
Shoe range is completely new as well and new Murray bag range very different.

Wow. I'm colourblind. When I saw the new Speed I could have sworn the accents were red but their brown.

Nice. Wow. and Thanks.

Are these just concept pics or the actual frame?

The Speeds and Instinct look a lot thinner than the specs stated by a poster a page back.

I'm liking them.

They are the same as the pictures in the Head brochure and the same as the ones shown to me, specs are as stated on the brochure and on the frames. Also have all the info on the new bags and shoes (clothing due later for release in March), the new racquets and bags will be available Jan as released alongside AO. Prestige limited edition paintjob outvin Nov.

^Ok. The speed looks a lot thinner than 22mm in the pic, closer to 20mm. I'll take your word for it. Are they all getting the s-grommet treatment?

Seems as if head is riding this YouTek thing out for another 2 years at least?

Was kind of hoping they'd stray from that, although the IGs were definitely softer than the Yts.

Thanks for the clarification on the PWR line, srl. I kinda hope this graphene stuff doesn't mess up the Prestiges. The IG was a huge step up from the Youtek, imo. Glad to hear the Speeds are going to be less round.

Yes - those are online stock photos.

I'm assuming no changes to grips/pallets? When they introduced the Speed line, does anyone remember if Head announced they would have a different shape grip, or did we just find out after holding them?

that prestige looks so different compared to previous models ... maybe it's just because there's no cap grommet but it just looks weird in my opinion

Could the pre-sale for these graphene heads be the same time as the new wilson's, mid november?

The IG Instincts and Speeds just went on clearence.

Am I the only one having a hard time believing the beam widths are as thick as head states? They look nice and lean in the photos. Also, liking the longer pallets and more traditional head shape. These frames are straight up $exy.

Here's hoping for some added flex.

Oh yeah, are the prestiges slated for a Jan. 2013 release as well? Or just the speeds, instinct and bags/shoes?

I'm getting a little excited over here but will wait for flex ratings, the make or break spec.

Am I the only one who expected a little more than $40 off of the current Speeds? It seems like Head reduces the prices more than that normally

2013 will bring a new HEAD technology. We will use a new material called Graphene which enabled us to create a completely new and patented way to redistribute weight from the middle of the racquet to the tip and the grip. This provides more power and maneuverability in a lighter racquet!

Pretty vague but whatever...that's marketing and gimmicks for ya.

As if you can tell a difference of 2mm from that picture.

It's the same mold.

FFS, that is not the Prestige replacement. That is the replacement for the granny sticks, the Star series, they are just naming it differently

That's the old polarization theme made known on this site by Trav, but if you ask me the current prestige mp alreay implements this without graphene so I doubt the latter makes a difference other than making the throat stiffer than it might otherwise be.

^It's not the same mold. It's more traditional shaped, not egg shaped like the previous speeds. And yes, from that angle, it looks thinner than 22mm, to me, my opinion. You can tell the difference between 20mm and 22mm from a photo. It's obvious.

What got your panties in a bunch? Bad day?

I'm not sure what I did not make clear with an earlier post but I have actually held and swung the frames and also put an IG 315 and Pro next too and over it and the new model is completely different - wider frame, thinner profile to the beam, narrower head and longer mains/lower throat. The sell on the technology is that the graphene is 200 times stronger than steel and incredibly light, by putting it in the throat (an area that is normally heavier with traditional construction) they can then put more weight in the top of the hoop and handle. It certainly feels more polarised to swing and is different from the IG as well as faster through the air due to the profile, however as I was unable to hit with it I can't tell you more than that.
The PWR range has head sizes of 115in for the Speed and Instinct version to 107in for the Prestige version.
Whatever the perception of a picture you will soon be able to see for yourself as they are released.
