Toni saying those things to Rafa is for Rafa's own good.
Toni to Rafa: "Federer is better than you. Now go out there and put him in his place". |

(j/k) But ... if Federer is better than Rafa, then putting Fed in "his place" would mean what ? It should have been "You are better than Fed, now put him in place".

Now, the OP posted this link as source: http://www.marca.com/2012/09/28/tenis/1348842189.html
But that quote isn't there. Way more interesting quotes that are actually there though: - "I don't know if Rafa Nadal will be available for the DC final nor if the captain will select him since there's people more prepared to play such an decisive tie". - "I'm not an elite coach, I'm a normal coach who trains an elite athlete. If I wasn't his uncle, he would have fired me already". - "Rafa would have preferred to play at Real Madrid than being a tennis player". (Clarky's going to like this one).

No I am not! Rafa will be remembered like Fed! They had a big rivalry, remember?! Federer and Rafa will always be twinned together! Whether you like it or not. They are both great in my eyes I just prefer Rafa more. Rafa has won 11 slams and you people still think nothing of him! What does he have to do for you people to give him any credit? Why do you lot hate Rafa so much?! Rafa has won more slams than Mac and others so why not respect him? Plus how Rafa has won RG 7 times is amazing! To be motivated so many times to keep going back and winning more titles. I would never discredit Roger or any other player for their slam acheivements. Rafa and Roger are special players. We won't see their likes for many years I assure you. Look at the Harrisons, Donalds, Tomic's etc, they won't do much. If you think otherwise , good luck to you all. Vamos Rafa! Come back and get these people to eat their words!

There's plenty. Mustard, Tushar, Clarky, Michael Nadal, Babette... I haven't seen Tennis fan 3 in a while (was that his name?) and Namelessone.

Toni Nadal's comments about CRonaldo and Messi were far more interesting in my opinion:
"Cristiano's problem is he can't accept Messi is better. If he would, he wouldn't be so sad." |
