I have a racquet (relatively rare and customized) that I want to make a copy of (same length (XL), weight, balance, head size, etc.) starting with a racquet that is easier to find. Is there such a service (how much?) or a guide if I want to do this myself?

Measure the mass, length, balance point, flex, swing weight and twist weight of your i.prestige. Probably need to go to a tennis shop that has an RDC/ERT device. Once you have the measurements, you can use the TWU customization tool. You will need to start with a racquet that is close to your i.prestige because certain adjustments are not doable. Having everything close will not guarantee that the racquets will feel the same.
RPNY is a service that will customize racquets, but it will cost you. Search for threads here about them. |

One thing you've got to make note of: you cannot clone the layup.
You may end up with equal weight, balance, SW, etc. but the "feel" will still be different due to the layup. And this difference is what "make or break" a racket. So, I'd suggest you start with a racket with the feel that you like and then work from there.

You could definitely check out Angell tennis rackets. Sticks that you can make pretty well any spec and any length you want. They come in a stiffness of either 60 or 67 strung, so you could probably get a similar feel. They have a good deal on right now as well for buying 3 or something like that. They are UK based however, so make sure to keep in mind shipping costs are a bit!
