Great Nadal lost last year Wimbledon final with a Broken Foot...but It doesn't make sense he lost to Novak Djokovic who had an injured back in last year US Open final.

Nadal has the golden slam of injuries....

He has been forced to skip

FO

Wimby

USO

AO

Olympics.....

If he misses this AO he may be on his way to 17 to be the goat.

Don't forget he also had the worst case of mono ever known to medical science in history.

Uhm, what is this about?. Wasn't it made clear by Rafa more than a year ago that he did not have a hairline fracture in his foot?.

I had to check the date of the OP because I thought surely this must be a thread stated in mid 2011...

No no no no no.

Rafa only loses when injured. He wins when injured too, and thus is the warrior GOAT. Djokovic obviously was just pretending to be injured and since Rafa was, and is, injured the USO should have been expected.

In fact Djokovic should be ashamed for losing to GOAT Warrior Rafael "The Impossible" Nadal when he was injured in the RG final this year. Rafa, like he always does, was very humble about being injured and downplayed it, but we know the truth is that the warrior was injured and fought very hard to defeat prime, peak Djokovic at 100%. GOAT Rafa, GOAT warrior.

No one is saying that at all.

Giving Nadal credit for battling through his injuries is simply giving the guy credit where credit is due.

The guy has missed four slams and an Olympics . And yet he has still managed to win them all if not once but multiple times in some cases.

The man has 11 slams and an Olympic gold medal despite playing the most physical brand of tennis known to man.

Doesn't he deserve a little bit of credit. Is your hate that deep that you can't acknowledge one of the greatest achieents of all time ?

I can give credit to his achievment because he is a great player and he has accomplished great things.

What I cant do is somehow try and deduce that he is greater than players who have achieved far more or somehow try and twist logic to say that he is greater because he has managed to achieve what he has "in spite of his health/physical condition". You see his physical problems are a direct result of the way he plays the game which in itself takes away from his greatness. His physical problems are not an excuse why he has not won more but rather the opposite. He would have won more if he had been a better tennis player. Rafa is a great competitor more-so than a great tennis player.

My thoughts on Nadal in another thread. I was only calling out you *******s on your double standards.

His injury issues has meant he has had less chances to win.

Plus, at least part of his injury problems are related to his foot problem and not just the way he plays.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and ones opinion should not be forced on someone else.

You are free to think Fed is the goat and I am free to think that Nadal is the goat.

Debate is like sex .....it's something that should be enjoyed by two consenting adults.

But what you are doing is not debating . You are rather stomping your foot down like a 12 year old child trying force the other to think your way.

What Nadal has achieved in such a short time is truly incredible......no one has achieved so much so quickly before .

You are free to choose Federer as the goat. There's nothing wrong with that and it's quite a logical choice. But that doesn't mean you have to disparage a player because others think he is greater than Federer.

TDK, I am ok with others opinions and I don't want to force anyone to believe what I believe.

But I am not stomping my foot down or disparaging another player even though you may think so.

Actually I am doing exactly what you referred to: debating, just passionately.

Nadal also had Djoketitis all throughout 2011 and early part of 2012. Then he got the Rosol'ed Virus in June 2012. Still hasn't recovered.
