Yes, he did. Except he doesn't have some ardent, die-hard to put it up in a thread. You up for it?

Federer played this years wimby final with a strained sph1ncter.

He reportedly had suffered over 50 "prairie-dog" episodes throughout the course of that match.

Key difference between Federes final vs Nadals?

Federer won his.

However you may be right. I don't know?
The injury was supposed to have happened during the del Potro match, and carried on to the final. Now, I remember he did have something ("nothing serious" (so he played with anaesthetic in part of the foot), but it was not a fracture, as he himself said. That surely should be enough, I believe him if he says he has this or that, so I'm going to believe him if he says he didn't...

I'm sure there are degrees of 'broken foot'. Bert Trautmann once played the majority of an FA Cup Final with a broken neck.

You can still run around and kick a ball pretty efficiently with a broken neck, and just avoid the headers.

Whereas with a broken foot, you're pretty much f*cked since you rely on your feet 100% to move around the court.

I don't know if you follow Cricket but I have heard players batting with broken arms. However I felt Tennis is more physical and it's impossible to play with a broken foot. The effort could cause irreparable damage to bones and it may well have to be amputated. However I do agree that there are degrees of "broken foot"

You guys are awfully hard on Rafa. Come on, a little bit of sympathy here, would ya? A better world w/ less cynicism! You guys are breaking TDK's heart.
Do you want to see him (me) cry? (Boy George singing in the background)

Hairline fractures are very hard to diagnose . That's why they are called "hairline" fractures .
