PK Q5: 315, or 295 plus lead?

Have tried them both, a 315 in stock condition and a 295 with about 5-6 grams total at 3:00 and 9:00, the only counterbalance being two overgrips. (Have not tried a stock 295 -- have never used 11 ounces with much success -- but it felt alot more solid in the head bare than sticks like the Pro Open or Formula 100). I found the 315 personally to be a little sluggish, very solid and stable but too difficult to whip, especially on serve. Those less chronologically challenged might be just fine with the 315. The 295 weighted gives away very little to the 315 in terms of stability and plow, not enough to bother me; much easier to whip around in executing The Modern Game; both are extremely comfortable, among the very few racquets I found no need to use a dampener with. Certainly more pop than the Ki5 series.

It certainly sounds like the 295 is better for you. As for my experience, I found the Ki 5x to be sluggish too. It's probably more sluggish than the 315 (certainly more sluggish than the Ki 5 I demoed). My previous racquet, the Babolat APDGT, was very mobile. The Ki 5x took some getting used to, but I'm used to it now, and my form is better because I'm not relying on as much wrist action. On my current setup the swingweight is about 351 (measured). I once had it around 380.
