I think we should play "guess how many games Sharapova will win," next time. Be far more interesting.

The hilarious thing is if Maria goes undefeated at the WTA Championships and Azarenka loses 1 RR match and the semis Maria will still end the year #1.

I thought Azarenka had year-end #1 in the bag. What's the difference in points right now?

Looking at the race it's still possible for Sharapova to finish #1, but she has to win the YEC going 3-0 or 2-1 in RR stage at the minimum. If Azarenka makes the SF going 3-0 I think she'll clinch #1. As it is Azarenka has a 1100 point lead.

Vika is playing Linz, so it's all but guaranteed she'll be YE#1.

Disgusting? I believe that is pushing it a bit, but perhaps I was too harsh. I really just dislike Maria's general attitude towards everyone, that is all. Sorry about that.

Vika might pull a "strategic retirement" to rest up for the YEC.

Maria is far more classy than somebody like Serena tbh. Only thing annoying is the grunting and the ridiculous come ons when opponent UEs. Ballkids regularly point her out as the polite one.

I'm not a huge fan of Serena, and it is not saying much to suggest that Maria has more class than a player who threatened to harm a lineswoman.

With that said, for a few reasons, such as the grunting, her attitude on court, her attitude off court (that the fans can still see), and her one dimensional game, I dislike her as a player. Perhaps she is a wonderful person and friend, but that has nothing to do with me.

Sharapova is so one dimensional, constantly hitting with the same depth on the court and with the same pace. She can still hit through the defence of most of the players on the tour, but not Azarenka's, who reads her predictable play like a book.

Even if she serves well against Serena or Azarenka she loses to them. When she serves badly against them she gets destroyed.
