Yonex Poly Tour Spin OR Babolat Revenge??

hi guys just need your expert opinion in which strings i should use next. currently i have kirrshbaum pro line x in my vcore 98d at 58. its fine, but i just want more spin from the string. i had poly tour pro in it before i switched to the kirschbaum for 1. the price $5. come on. can't say no to that n plus im on a budget lol. 2 the color. which was more orange than cherry to my dismay

i wanted to match my racket -_- i know. i have heard RAVE reviews about the poly tour spin. i think the 5 sides would give more spin. How's the revenge?? petrova and (still?) woz hvae it. any first hand accounts on 1.spin 2. stiffness?? PLEASE help. which one would yield more spin and last longer? thanks so much

1. Swing faster for more spin. Poly will only help if your stroke allows it.

2. I saw the USRSA stifness index and revenge was definitely high up there. It's one of the stiffest poly strings you can find.

You could also try poly at a way lower tension than you've been using.

I am currently using revenge in 95d also. very nice string.

I haven't used the Yonex but I have used the Revenge. To me it is a great string. I strung it on my Dunlop Bio 300T for the mains and synthetic gut for cross. Durability is good. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

@rdis10093 what tension do you put it on ur 95d? do u go 3 pounds lower in the crosses? and how does it look on ur 95d? As @filphil said, it has a high stiffness, can u feel it in ur arms? @atlfalcons12 as well. @atlfalcons what tension do u put urs at? any one out there who can comment on the poly tour spin? thanks so much u guys!

I have been using Poly Tour Spin ever since it came out pretty much, it took me a couple of tries to do get it right. I'd say if your racquet is powerful like mine you may start with 50 or a bit higher, if it doesn't give as much power, you may try low tensions, there are other members using it too, but what it matters is when you put on your racquet and try, the string is just plain awesome, all you need to do is find the right tension.

@tistrapukcipeht thanks for ur input. wow at 50 or a bit higher? is it that low powered? i would think it would trampoline off my racquet, but i guess the 5 sides would grab in in the court. i have never gone below 55. 58 was magic with the poly tour pro. how does that compare with the spin? thanks so much. i put leather grips on mine and 2 strips of lead on the throat.

53 mains, 51 crosses. yonex recomends that all of their racquets are strung 2lbs less in the cross. It is not that stiff, but I like a stiffer string bed. My set up is revenge mains, and syn cross. right now I am in love with this stirng combo. I have also played with the yonex string. It was just okay for me. the revenge is a higher quality string. It costs more, but it is a really good price at tw right now.

It is low powered with huge ball bite and topspin, never used poly tour pro nor magic string (???) I mean you try however you want, but it doesn't have power, there are many Yonex players using it.

For the price, you can't beat yonex.

IMO, yonex strings are underrated.
