Hi. Im looking for advice please. Im going to be buying this manual windback machine from a friend for £300 second hand. It will be going back for a service first to calibrate the machine first and service. Firstly does this seem like good value and secondly compared to an electronic machine if I wanted to string a full poly at 50lbs what tension would I string at using a manual machine compared to 50lbs on an electronic. My understanding is I am supposed to string 3lbs higher at 53lbs >> ????

That is about $500 US for an old machine. You can buy a new Gamma machine here in the states for $729. Doesn't sound like a good deal to me.
