NXT control is 100% better, poor stringer that you forced him/her to waste such good strings and cut them out for no cost

I feel you there... but as a stringer myself, I would have done the same thing as your stringer did. No use when it is a mistake like that, and then lose a customer over it. The stringer did the right thing. Although I would say OP, you should have talked to the stringer and said, maybe you can give me a discount next time or something... bc it would hurt me to waste that much money to cut out the set of strings.

Those lies were a while back, I've grown up since then. This is the whole story.

Why did you entrust a woman to do man's work?

That's right.
She should be a wet nurse instead of a racquet stringer.
Or a seamstress, or a weaver... oh, wait.

Her job is to find a suitable husband who will make the money to provide for the family.

I disagree - women should be presidents and CEO's and boss men around, since that is their nature.

Be that as it may, there is still a place, nay, a need for irreverent humor.
Long live Monty Python and Chelsea Handler!

There is absolutely no place for humour in a serious debate, if you ask me.

Good thing this is not a serious debate, then.

Cutting out (multiple?) NXT control string beds is serious!

I need to know the extent of the lies in order to make a valid ttw judges ruling.

For all we know he said nxt control to try it didn't like the string and went back and claimed she messed up. To get a new free string job.

We need more context. What the lies were. And when did the lies happen.

I had a guy swap my gut mains and poly crosses by accident...didn't read the work order correctly and just assumed ply mains. When he figured out what happened he immediately redid the job without a fuss AND didn't charge for the job on his own initiative (I never said a word).

Recently another fellow skipped a couple of weaves on the crosses in the middle of the frame. His manager didn't notice the mistake either and tried to push off the job as a string manufacturer's defect. I pushed back and he then realized their mistake. They redid the job but used my last half set of 4G, made me make a second trip to the shop later in the day during rush hour, and barely apologized.

I know several in this thread have expressed shock that the OP wanted the string he actually specified and that's why crappy stringers at big box sporting goods stores are viable business models: the industry is all over the place in standards and expressing surprise that a customer expects that which he pays for is a perfect example of the problem.

Stringing can be a craft combining art and science or fast food-like production shoving strings through holes as if lacing up a shoe. It's no wonder stringers have a hard time making a living if the very best must compete with such poor standards?

Exactly what I was thinking. Had it been exactly as posted, then it's so obvious that it now becomes suspicious to even ask.

Just about every thread he's made has somehow ended up being exaggerated, fake or a fake exaggeration. He says he's changed as that was all in the past....series of months.

Well you obviously don't monitor the things I post very well. Those were the only threads that I've lied about. These ones, the truth isn't even stretched. Maybe you would be better off going to other threads instead of bashing me. You have given no help to me in this thread. So why post? To try to sound big and bad over the computer screen?

my shop writes down the string and the tension on a slip of paper. both of us see it so there's no mistake.

Agree.

The thing is, this is not like you order a car and it is the wrong color or engine when it arrives. The strings are going to get replaced reasonably soon in any case, so why trash a pefectly good string job?

Now if the OP is a high level competitor, etc different story, but I got the impression this was a rec player. Probably couldn't tell the difference if he didn't see the label.

Whatever. The stringer was wrong, but I would have cut her some slack, particularly if she is good looking.

I find skipping weaves to be even worse than misusing string or using the wrong ones. That is totally unacceptable.
