Del Potro with Murray's draws would be a multi slam Champion, LOL. Murray didnt lose to any opponent in a slam final Del Potro would have beaten on those days, and had they switched draws at the 09 U.S Open the Murray upset to Cilic never would have happened, they play one another in the quarters, and given their history on hard courts it is bye bye to Del Potro's only slam (while Murray possibly has 2 of them now). Maybe Del Potro should win a single Masters title before his fans trump his chances of multiple slams.

NadalAgassi, out of thread, do you think that Prisoner of birth and TMF are same person? I think they are....

Hmm I hadnt thought about it, but it is possible. They seem to have in common their extreme hatred of 60s or 70s tennis, their extreme bias to all players past, and their disdain for the WTA (especialy the Williams). Prisoner of birth though does seem smarter than TMF though (not that this is difficult to manage) so it is hard to say.

Definitely not. PoB is eloquent with an agressive style. TMF is a nice guy but a bit naive.

PoB is the toned down version of DjokovicForTheWin.

And the first British winner of a slam in 300 years or so was a Scot. Never gets old saying it.

Yes, a Scot

What the heck is "shimfing"? Google doesn't give a meaning, even urban dict doesn;t have it.

I just picked up "bumpf" today in another thread, two words a days is a lot for me

p.s. please enter this word in the urban dict, chaps.

It's a Scots word. It means moaning. To shimf is to moan. The Bawss has been shimfing a lot since Murrray won his gold medal

As a Murray fan I'm glad it's an easy draw.

1. I don't hate 60s and 70s Tennis. I actually love watching it because it had way more variety than the Tennis today. I just maintain that the standard of Tennis today is higher, not even that it is more entertaining.

2. I have no bias "to" or "against" players past except in GOAT arguments. Which stems, again, from point 1.

3. I have a disdain for today's WTA because it sucks. 10 years ago, I used to like it almost as much as I did the ATP.

Let's have a look at his draw to the SFs : Bye, W/O, Lolgopolov, OLD Stepanek.

Then when he wins the Murray brigade will be out pointing out how awesome he is and how many MS1000s he has and how "Lendl has transformed him" and "he is riding the wave of confidence winning his first GS gave him".

Now I expect the usual "Was it windy in Shanghai?" and "Ingerlund" remarks.
why do you even care? do you feel threatened about his draw? he's eanred his draw. live wit it. and deal with it. quit whining and crying and mking a thread about a player and draw you know nothng about. geez.. why do you care about his draw so much? i can't believe I even responded to this lame dumb thread.... go cry somewhere else...

thanks
just saying.

If only Murray had to deal with Malisse in the fourth and Youzhny in the quarter, then he'd understand what it is to contend with a real draw.

We both know Murray would be quickly "evaporised" by his superior competition.

hmm I agree that it's far fetched to say Del Potro would have been a multi slam champion (the truth is he was becoming a great player in 2009 and since his injury has been average so we'll never know if he could have carried on that form) but on the other hand it's not a certainty Murray would have beaten Delpo in 2009. I mean Murray is 5-1 vs him but he's 7-1 vs Cilic who he lost to at the USO that year. Murray was subject to random losses like vs Wawrinka as well.

Plus the 2008 USO quarter final vs Delpo was close, Murray needing 2 tiebreaks to win the first 2 sets before Delpo got the 3rd with a break, Del Potro also came within a tiebreak of winning the Canada masters final they played, took him the distance in Miami 2009 and the WTF 2009. In fact the only straight sets match was the one Delpo won on clay. So he's always troubled Murray but fallen short. No reason he couldn't have beaten him in 2009 when Murray got pretty much battered by Cilic (a guy who is good but makes Del Potro look like Nadal in mental toughness and big match mentality) and Delpo was beating Nadal and Federer back to back.

Let us be honest here, Novak Djokovic is getting more cup cake draws compared to Andy.
