Default 2012 If Stockholm Open - General Discussion Thread

Out of the three events going on this week, this one is the biggest in terms of the field of competitors. Figured it was worthy of a discussion thread.

Seeds:

1. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga
2. Tomas Berdych
3. Nicolas Almagro
4. Florian Mayer
5. Feliciano Lopez
6. Mikhail Youzhny
7. Marcos Baghdatis
8. Jarkko Nieminen

Singles draw:

Some other decent names to watch are Kevin Anderson, Lleyton Hewitt and Brian Baker (Monfils was also in the draw but was upset today by Swedish wildcard Patrik Rosenholm).

Does Tsonga ever take a week off?

So Youzhny is here and not in Moscow? Interesting.

Did Feli play any decent tennis today, or did he use up his quota in that last match?

LOL, indeed.

He does have Nico Almagro coming up in the next round, whom I think is just as unpredictable. It won't be a dull QF, I don't think.

Feli so annoying. I was looking forward to your match v. Tsonga. You were the #9 seed. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU.

Usual suspects are through to the semis: Tsonga, Baghdatis, Almagro and Berdych. In all likelihood we'll see a Tsonga-Berdych final.

pame ! i hope we'll see marcos in the final... i really want him to finally beat tsonga !
(last time he did was in junior times, grrr...)

and some bad blood between berdych and almagro would be fun in the other SF... as in their AO match.

awww no... marcos injured himself (thigh ?) in the 3rd set.
he just had some chances to break back...

too bad, he wasn't playing bad... including some nice passing-shots !
i hope it's nothing serious...

The final is underway. Berdych holds serve to go up 1-0 in the 1st.
