Default Paris "Bercy" Masters 2012 Prediction League (15th in Series, Season 4)

WELCOME TO THE 2012 BERCY MASTERS PREDICTION LEAGUE!

Anyone at any time can play starting Monday, October 29th!

HOW TO PLAY:
Before the FIRST MATCH of the tournament, pick who will win the entire tourny and who will be the runner up. At the conclusion of the tournament, you'll get TWO POINTS per correct finalist or FIVE POINTS per player if he finishes in your predicted position.

For EVERY match, predict the winner and the number of sets it will take for the winning player to win the match. (EX: [1] R Federer (SUI) vs [3] A Murray (GBR) - Federer in 3) If you predict the correct winner but in the wrong number of sets, you'll get THREE POINTS. If you predict both the correct winner and the correct number of sets, you’ll get FIVE POINTS.

You can edit a pick until a particular match starts, however, please always make a new post quoting the original pick. DO NOT EDIT THE ORIGINAL POST.

Additional Rules and Instructions: League FILE & FAQ (HTML) and Match by Match File (HTML) and Overall Rankings, Top Ten, Defending Champions (HTML)

PREVIOUS YEARS' PREDICTION LEAGUE FILES:
2011 PREDICTION LEAGUE | Match by Match, H2H, Grand Slam Stats
2010 PREDICTION LEAGUE | 2009 PREDICTION LEAGUE

PREDICTION LEAGUE DOUBLES HEAD TO HEAD CONTEST

In addition to the regular tournament, each participant can pair up with another one and participate in a doubles tournament. There is no additional match picking or work involved. Your regular league scores are combined with your partner's to compete against another team.

The doubles tournament format is similar to the FIFA World Cup. There are round robin rounds where you and your partner compete against doubles teams in your group. The top two or three teams from your group then move on to the knockout rounds. The exact format will depend on the number of doubles teams.

Doubles H2H Rules, Standings, and Instructions: League File

PREDICTION LEAGUE STAFF
seffina - Overlord, Awesome | JayChu - Team Guy, Diligent | NYKings, TopDawg, dcdoorknob - Helpers, Very Helpful
Tennis_Maestro - Retired General League Director | Chelsea_Kiwi - Retired Head to Head Director

Sidenote: Disruptive/aggressive/obnoxious posting from anyone will result in a warning. If it continues, the player will be disqualified from the game for the remainder of the tournament.
HAVE FUN!

We're in PDT at the moment. Paris will be 8 hours ahead of Pacific Time during most of the tournament (their daylight savings end a week before ours). (The final will be 9 hours ahead.)

Matches start at 11 am local time. so make picks by 3 am PDT (6am Eastern) for a particular day.

For the final H2H WTF spot, it is down to JadeC & kaku and stringertom & Tammo.

These are the qualification scenarios:
For JadeC & kaku to qualify:
Must win the title and stringertom & Tammo fails to reach the semi-finals.
For stringertom & Tammo to qualify:
Reach the semi-finals
As a reminder, there will be two alternates named in case a team does not confirm in time for the WTF H2H event.

Good luck to both teams!
