Interesting, Drake could be good this year if they have 3-6 players

What a week by Valente of Georgia State. Crafty player, saw him several years ago when he beat Bizjak at Clemson. I was impressed by his game then.

Not a very good loss by either Shane in the Atlantic region. Although Contini can play.

Carolina regional:

Henrique Cunha (Duke) def Andrew Adams (SC) 6-0 6-0 - Did not expect a bicycle. Cunha having some dominating results in this regional. Has lost a total of 11 games in 4 matches and 7 of those were in one match.

Cameron Silverman (Elon) def Michael Redlicki (Duke) 7-5 6-3 - Good week for the Elon man

Esben Hess-Olesen (UNC) def Yannick Maden (Clemson) 6-3 6-7 6-3 - Hess Olesen has greatly improved from last year. Maden had a good win over Saba before this.

Chris Mengel (Duke) def Sam Williams (UNCW) 6-3 6-3

Default Carolina Region

Saw a few matches in Cary today. Biggest upset was Cameron Silverman from Elon beating top ranked Cunha of Duke in three sets to reach the finals tomorrow. Silverman faces Esben Hess-Olesen from UNC, who defeated Chris Mengel of Duke. Cunha and Hemmeler meet Cooprider and Blank from UNC-Wilmington for the doubles title.

I saw these two matches in person today.

I must say Harrison Richmond looked VERY impressive. It's great to see an 18 yr old player with an all-court game. He can hit a nasty slice backhand and really dictates points with a lethal forehand.

Justin is not quite 100% recovered from a back problem. It will be interesting to compare him to the first year stars when they are all healthy at once. We won't likely see Justin in a match again until January.

Ryan Shane has a huge, aggressive game. Dictates points. Consistency is always the first thing to work on when a young player with that style gets to college. I think he will end up in the top 6 this year in singles, but there is plenty of competition.

Harrison showed up better prepared to play doubles than most guys from American junior tennis. He does not just stay back and grind. It will be interesting to see what happens in the spring when Mitchell Frank is 100%. Alex Domijan and Mitchell Frank were starting to click as a doubles team late last spring, and now Alex and Harrison are doing well. Hard to keep Harrison out of the doubles lineup, but also hard to keep Mitchell out when he is ready.

A year later, after we lose Jarmere Jenkins and Julen Uriguen from the doubles lineup, I can see Alex/Mitchell on one team and Richmond/Styslinger on another team in their sophomore seasons.

Freshman Nolan Paige has advanced to Monday's main draw singles semifinals at ITA Northwest Regional Championships. Still on a roll after upsetting the #1 seed. It turns out these freshmen recruits could turn out to be the best in the country.

In the singles semifinal round, freshman Krista Hardebeck will take on California's Tayler Davis at 11 a.m. Hardebeck is the tournament's No. 5 seed while Davis is seeded No. 10.

I saw that Daigle is going to UVA and they are getting a couple of other strong recruits according to a source. The team is going to be deep with Richmond, Shane, Daigle, Styslinger, Ryan Shane, Frank, Domijian and whoever the new recruits are.

great! Nolan is going to be a strong/key player for the team.

Where did you find the results? Any livescore for the Northwest draw?
