Difference in power between the 6.1 and tweeners

How would you compare the power level of the 6.1 16x18 to a tweeter such as the pro open or pdr?

If all you want is a difference in power...IMO the PDR has more power that the 6.1, but by no means is the 6.1 low powered frame. Both are on the heavier side, but the PDR gets a bit more pop from the stiffness. Both, with the right string set-up, can be rocket launchers.

I think that PDR's usable power is to hit a big topspin shots, otherwise it is difficult to control. 6.1's power is more versatile in that you can hit more variety of shots. Just my opinion.

6.1 95 is one of the most powerful frames I've used, especially in the 16x18. It hits such a huge ball. The PDRGT+ for me, hits a faster ball but definitely not as heavy as a ball. The PDRGT+ hits a much spinner ball with higher margins. The 6.1 hits a bit flatter with worlds more depth.

The 6.1 95 is by my definition, a rocket launcher when not strung with poly.

It depends. BB original is decent, it lasts a good 5 hours of hitting for me before dying, if you're talking ALU it's not worth it at all IMO! 4G would be cool as reviews say good tension reticence, so I would hope around 8 hours of hitting before going dead, but I personally haven't tried it yet (although I did string it up!)

The 6.0 95? I've used one, but never owned one. It's a cool hitting stick, (Dolgopolov still uses it if I remember correctly) but I don't think I would switch to it. If I remember correctly it played a bit flexier then the 6.1 95 Classic, I would guess in the mid to high 60s?

The BLX 95 blk/red might fit the bill, it's got a bit more pop but it's got that similar flex IMO.

Yes 6.0. My old coach picked one up on the bay for $30 and its a bit worn out but it gave me a lot of confidence and I loved how it swung. I just wanted a tiny bit more oomph

Well, if you got one you could always lead it up at 3 and 9 to produce a bit more oomph for minimal swing weight increase!

It's a tough stick to replace though. A few guys here have tried the PS95, non 6.1 and leaded it up to see some success. That might be up your alley to demo as well!

I'm a long-time 6.1 user. 4.0 player knocking on the 4.5 door (just to add a little qualification to my opinion). By no means a world-class player, but decent enough to offer my opinion on the frame.

To an extent, I agree with Fuji about using poly, as everything else makes a 6.1 into a rocket launcher. I used synthetic gut for the longest time, but strung it at 65. I felt that I had to go up to that tension because I'm a big hitter.

For a while I used Volkl Cyclone and really enjoyed the response. Big Hitter Silver Rough was nice as well. I hit for a little while with a full bed of Big Banger, but I never felt Luxilon was worth the price.

In short, go with a cheaper poly. I strung mine at 55 and really enjoyed it.

The 6.0 I used had tour bite in it. Do you think that would work well?

Tour bite is a great string, though until you at least narrow down your string tension window a bit. There are plenty great polys in the $7-8 range.

Yeah, Tour Bite is nice. I agree with pheonix, go with a cheaper poly until you figure out your desired tension.

Tour Bite, Cyclone, BHSR, all good options.

What are some good spinny polys that will last a long time, are cheap, and would work well with the KSix one 95?

It's getting there.

Power is relative. If you hit flat, full syn gut/multi is good. If you hit extreme topspin (which almost literally no one does) then gut/poly is good. If budget performance, Tour Bite mains/Mamba crosses is killer. Proline X mains and Mamba crosses is the highest performance with the the lowest price.
