How is everyone doing in Northeast USA?

The trend seems to be that droughts , floods, storms and extreme events are occuring more frequently and we are beginning to see the need of a support act that can be of help when the s... hits the f..

I think the least a modern society can do is be functioning and show resilience when things go wrong, thats when character and ability should shine.

Business wants and needs to know how to navigate in the new era where weather is increasingly volatile and powerful. A good read on this is Larry Oxleys book :

I have been talking to the folks at the Vostok Station about renting an apartment there a couple of years down the road. Nice and cool year-round and they have satellite internet there and everything.

As a prepper, I'm doing fine. My compound is "disaster" resistant.

I have my own power, satellite connections. Some neighbors tried to enter my land but a few warning shots scared them away. Moochers!

My contracting companies stand to make millions. Disasters are great money making opportunities. Government waste will allow my company to take millions while not have to build anything in return.

People suffer every day. While we are so worried about the North East, how may of you know that in other parts of the world, they have their annual monsoon flooding that will kill so much more than all of US fatalities from accidents, disasters, homicides.

I don't heard much "tender feelings towards" those people.

The milions of people without power are still living better than the majority of people on this planet. Let's have some sense of the big picture shall we? I live on the island, this is not unbearable hardship.

That people are suffering elsewhere diminishes the suffering people are experiencing here and renders them worthy of mockery? Whether it's the many people here whose lives have been uprooted, or the many people whose lives have been destroyed or the many people whose lives have been lost, for you to crudely lampoon a disaster that carried tragic impacts with it and then in the same breath attempt to lay claim to "big picture" high moral ground is patently absurd.

I plan to take hot baths and walk around my heated flat in a bathrobe all night until tomorrow the next storm hits and everything gets shut off again and I die of hypothermia, cold, flu, cholera, and malnourishment.

I worked hard for my possessions. If they had worked hard, and got enough insurance, and flew out West and spend the week on vacation, come back, collect insurance and rebuild. Not only that but the rebuilding will create jobs. Now, do you see why the rich create jobs?

The US is all about self-reliance. If we help them once, we'll have to help them forever.

Feed a starving man once and you'll keep on feeding him forever. Let the man die but teach his children how their father was weak and deserved to die and you'll save those kids. Those kids will grow up rich and they will pass on their life's lessons to their kids.

We rich people should set an example to the middle class and the poor. Show them how they are inferior to us, that they can improve. We can strenghten them by having them pay more taxes so that the increase strain will make them even better. It is like a coach demanding his players to sprint uphill. the steeper the climb the stronger the quads.

It is our sacred duty to do nothing but make sure that they pay more taxes to make them stronger.

This is God punishing the North East for voting for Obama. Sandy was God's way to stopping voter turn out. Failing that, God is now punishing them.
