Yep. Not sure if they can do it again this time. JJ may get too much on the open market.

Might as well do it against a scrub team that way they can sell out the arena. Plus thay can sell Bobcats Jordan Jerseys. Or maybe by then they will get the Hornets name back or something.

Bobcats is a terrible name. The only reason they are called that is becasue Robert Johnson at the time who owned the team took the name because it had his name in it.

Cool

Playing 80 games for real at age 51 is staggering...surprised Chelios didn't try to match that...the "wimp" retired at age 48!

Chelios played 7 game for the trashers in 2010 at 48. They missed the playoffs and he was sent back to AHL team.

Officially retired in August and has ben working for the Red Wings ever since.

Kurt Thomas (and/or Grant Hill if he ever suits up) only has/have four years or so to catch Kevin Willis for oldest modern-day NBA player ever. Some coach in the 40's suited up for one game, missed all his shots and scored two points from the charity line...not worth discussing him.

Bet you would mention Jeff Van Gundy if he suited up!

He did suit up once...played floor mop during an epic playoff brawl!

Actually, maybe Doc will give it a go as Rondo's replacement!

So Memphis Grizzles essentially traded Rudy Gay for Tayshaun Prince. Looks bad on paper, but they have enough scoring, and Tayshaun Prince is good for ANY team.

I say this is a good immediate fit for the Memphis Grizzles. I won't speak on long term.

Grizzlies made a short-term move IMO. Gay was owed a lot of money over the next two years and the impression was that the Grizzlies can't afford to throw 50+million on three guys. Gasol is untouchable and ZBo is still producing. Gay's having a lousy year and one of the guys they got has comparable numbers to Gay.

I don't know if this really helped or hurt the team. The fact they want to avoid the luxury tax like the plague make me believe management has no faith in them competing for a title this year.

Question

And the hits keep on coming for the Tragic...now 2-18 in their last 20 after a miserable 2nd half @MSG. Add on a broken foot for Big Baby to Affalo's strained calf...we are decimated by the injury bug and this latest one seriously puts Orlando in the running for worst end-of-season record. Tyson Chandler gave us a taste of what to expect from any decent "big"...10 of 11 from the field. Where's the "D"?

I think it's a good move, most teams don't have a perimeter stopper, and now Memphis Grizzles have two perimeter stopper (Tony Allen and Tayshaun Prince). In the Western Conference with its guards, I think it's a good move. We all know Mike Conley is a good point guard, but he can't guard anyone (lack of size, not lack of effort.)

Hoping for a T-wolves win tonight.

Liking how the Pacers are handling the Heat as of this post.

Cleveland has 4 players in the Rookie game. 1st time any team had that many. And they get another lottery pick next year. May soon become the Lake Erie Monsters instead of the mistake by the lake.
