We have a strong chance at starting the season 2-0 since we play phoenix tonight.

I honestly think we could contend for the 8 spot in the playoffs, but i am not sure if that is necessarily the best way to rebuild.

I don't mind them being rested, they're one of the deepest teams in the league in my opinion. I enjoy seeing Splitter, Blair, Mills etc.. getting more playing time, they're more than good enough in my opinion. Every Spur has Pop's system entrenched in them so you don't even notice the big players missing as much.

Clips must be really bored to allow GS to win one off them. And GS without Bogut or Rush.

I cant believe how good vaughn is as a coach. He was a dark horse candidate when the job was supposed to go to shaw, but this is really impressive.

We went on a 31-8 run after being down 12 and just dominated. Pretty amazing considering we have no star player or go to scorer.

The city loves this team so much more than i thought they would. I know dwight is the best center in the world, and we now have to rebuild but im so glad that jerk is gone.

Another bad game from Westbrook - 14pts, 5-18 shooting vs Durant 22 pts, 7-17 shooting. Kevin Martin dropped 28 but OKC loses at home to ATL.

I'm going to make a bold prediction for the OKC:

Whenever Westbrook shoots more than 15x, they're likely to lose.

Lakers treating the Pistons like a D League team, which they basically are.

Kobe had 8 assists in the 1st half, has been more efficient with his shooting which everyone is ignoring amidst the 0-3 hullabaloo. Even Metta World Peace making shots.

So... Lakers finally won a game (first in over 5 months) and all i can think of is HOW BAD Mike Brown realy is. Dude is clueless, statsheet reading moron. Can't stand him. His rotations and minute management are freakin ********. Can't wait for a day he gets a boot.

Mike Brown is pretty bad. Does he make it the whole season? Who do the lakers have as the other coaches. Is Chuck person still there? Would they even give him the interim job if they did fire Brown?

Maybe Brown put weak coaches around him on purpose so they wouldnt fire him at mid season.

And this is the reaction when they WIN a game? It's an 82 game season for gods sake. LA looked good, granted it was the Pistons, but ppl are still calling for MB's head? You would think they lost the game or only won by 3 and looked bad, but they didn't. People must really hate the Lakers that much, I guess.

Brown is garbage. He s**** his pants at home up 20 vs. one of the worst teams in the league...

This is why he plays the starters 40 minutes a night and will continue to do so because the dude has no backbone. When Lakers play the good teams, they won't be killing them like the lowly Pistons. If you can't get your s*** together in a win like last night, what the hell are you going to do when the s*** hits the fan?.....

Play the starters 40 plus minutes, make no adjustments because you don't know what the hell to do, can't be a leader if you're scared to lose to the Pistons up 30.....

Great way to show the players you are a complete joke. How are they supposed to respect a man that crumbles in a game that is decidedly won after the 1st quarter? HE NEEDS TO GO

This vid says it all (Kobe was in as well at the same posession)...

And if they blow that lead because their bench sucks (and I'm guessing MB knows that) then what? Who's getting the blame for NOT putting the starters back in? LA has no bench, so of course the starters will get more run. It's 3 games into the season with almost an entirely new roster, so of course he's trying to figure out the rotations and what works/what doesn't.

If i was like You (not a Lakers fan by any stretch of an imagination) i would be content with Brown as well. No way in hell you play your injured stars in a blowout win in the 4Q. It didn't work that well for Rose, didn't it?

You're right I'm wrong. MB can't win with armchair critics like you trying to run him out of town. Kobe said it best the other day.

When you have Antawn Jamison coming off your bench, the bench doesn't suck.

I'm glad Lakers won their first game just so the media would shut up about the slow start.

I will say this, the Lakers cannot play Kobe 40+ minutes on a consistent basis. Yes, he can put up this kind of minutes, but they should save him for later in the season when they're playing for seeding, and the playoffs.

Jamison is 36 and hasn't been good since he left the Wizards. Compare Lakers bench to the likes of San Antonio and the Clippers and its not even close.

MB has a track record that would lead you to believe that it will be a disappointing season for the Lakers. They only have a small window left of Kobe being good enough to win a title with him. If the teams goal is to win this year and next I dont think Brown is the right coach.

Yeah but he is still performing at a high level.

Also, this year's Lakers bench is the best it's been in a while.

If Chris Duhon sees any minutes, you have a bad bench.

THE worst player in the NBA.

AndreisBeidrin makes 11 mil for 4 years, has hands of stone, can't ever pass, scores 6 points a game, with 5 rebounds, and is a career 43% freethrow shooter.
