In terms of what? Actual fun on the court? Or making money within the sport of tennis?

Unless you're a coach or lines judge perhaps, any job that requires you to stay on the court ain't going to pay you well?

As far as fun, intensity, and best seat in the house, being a line umpire or chair umpire is absolutely fantastic.

HOWEVER, if you want to make enough money to call it a "job", better find something else to do. It's great as a hobby though for something on the side.

What I want to know is, how do you not develop neck problem as the chair umpire?

Yeah, Woodrow...please enlighten us! Do you do eye exercises to improve peripheral vision and thereby reduce the range of necessary neck swivel???

Yes - "Making money within the sport of tennis." I don't care about being on the court. That's what I do in my spare time and for exercise. Don't want that to turn into something I don't enjoy.

I agree, my family is always asking me to teach/give lessons on my spare time to make side money. But the way I look at it is, I don't want tennis to be a job. It's a hobby and I enjoy it, if it turns into work or chore, I won't enjoy it as much.

Maybe head lawyer for Wilson? I bet he’s keeping busy with all the food the company has been stealing out of the mouths of innocent American and Asian babies pushing their overpriced junk with deception and then channeling all the funds to criminal tax havens in Zurich and Dubai.

LOL. Actually, I had more problems with pain in my lower back from those uncomfortable chairs than my neck.

Considering she's dating Alex Ovechkin, not sure I'd want to incur his wrath. Unless you are taking about being Alex Ovechkin, then yeah, that would be pretty awesome to be an NHL superstar (or a KHL superstar for now due to the lockout ).

I once worked a bit in pro shop on and off , was great fun . People were keen to hear my opinions on stringing and other stuff , made for stimulating and educating dialogue.
