Default Sam Querrey Paris Masters

Sam Querrey just beat Djokovic. I really think Querrey has a lot of potential even though Djokovic played some of the worst tennis i have ever seen him play. Do you think Sam Querrey will be the best American (results wise) next year?

Querry has the 3rd worst return game of the top 50.

If he doesn't improve that ,then no.

But lets be serious, as you said, Djokovic just played like crap. This will be just another loss where the underdog probably loses the next match.

Paris....the fastest masters. Sam best chance to bat Djokovic.

Great that he did....but he won't be the best amercian next year. He needs to prove himself in the slow tournaments and even in the fast tournaments.

Paris doesn't seem so fast this year, to be honest.

Murray said it is 'very slow'. It's supposed to be more or less the same as the WTF court.

if he improves his footwork speed, he can be a consistent Top 15

Paris is never "that fast", the indoor conditions that make it seems faster.

Up until last year it was always among the fastest courts on tour.

Awesome result for Sam;I certainly did not expect it. Funny how Cvacula was version "2.0" in the first set when he dished out a bagel, and then played some of his worst tennis the rest of the match.

I do think Querrey has a good chance to be the highest ranked American next year and would like to see it because I prefer him over Isner.

I was home sick today and thought this match would put a smile on my face...not quite!

Djokovic, who is assured of finishing as the top of the ATP world rankings at the end of the season, has not lost a match at such an early stage of a competition since Miami in March 2010.- from news article

WTF can't believe this happened, left my house after watching the first set 6-0 in 20 mins and I thought no way djoko is loosing this, I didn't even though Querry could get a game. Came back home and djoko lost? incredible, need to watch the rest of the game.

From my 2 years of watching tennis for most tournaments, it's pretty rare that a player will win the match when they loose the first set to love, that is pretty strange and funny.
