2013 Head Racquets?

Hey T-Dub,
Since the IG Speeds and Instincts have just gone on clearance and there has been some talk on the forum of the 2013 line, are there any pre-sale dates available for this new line? Or eta?

Also, is it just the Speeds and Instincts that are being launched soon? or should we also expect the Prestiges as well?

Really any info you have would be great.

As of right now we don't have any information. We have a meeting with Head next week that should give us a better idea on any new product launches.

This info came straight from Head today actually:

2013 will bring a new HEAD technology. We will use a new material called Graphene which enabled us to create a completely new and patented way to redistribute weight from the middle of the racquet to the tip and the grip. This provides more power and maneuverability in a lighter racquet! Novak and Maria will be launching this new technology in the Speed and the Instinct. We will also launch a completely new Power Series with 3 racquets that fit perfectly into HEAD segmentation: the Prestige PWR, the Speed PWR and the Instinct PWR! Why should only competitive players be able to use the best known racquets?

LOL! Graphene! So Head managed to change the structure of graphite into doubly bonded graphite, or would it be aromatic graphite with resonance structures?

That's some fancy name for a new year of paintjobs.

I guess Innegra wasn't strong and light enough.

The Radicals normally have a two year life cycle. The IG version came out last year so expect new racquets either at the end of this year or beginning/middle of next year.

Yes, we are currently playtesting both the Head YOUTEK Graphene Speed Pro and MP and the Instinct MP. Look for the video review in about 4 weeks with the written following shortly there after.

We are shooting the video this week on all three reviews (Speed Pro, Speed MP, and Instinct MP). The video should be up by next week with the written to follow in 1-2 weeks.
