Tough first, second and third match for every single player in this group. Most embarrassing draw fixing I've ever seen. Top players should just boycot the event. They would give Fed the trophy by default, which would not make much difference with what is happening now anyway.

you just keep on banging on about this. What happened in 2010? Federer beat Nadal, Djokovic, Murray, Soderling and Ferrer with the loss of one set.

Drew nadal in the RR in 2011, beat him 6-3 6-0.

Federer doesn't need any draw fixing and if you seriously believe it is fixed you need your head examined

I like how you get outraged at everytime Fed gets an easy draw but nothing is said when it's Nadal. Like his laughable RG and USO 2010 draws, not to mention the fact he managed to avoid Djokovic being in his half of a hardcourt slam for every single one since the USO 2007! 7 HC slams in a row Nads managed to duck Djokovic. But yeah one year Fed gets an easy draw at his pet event that he's spanked everyone at anyway? Lol

Plus you do get that this only pretty much guarantees he gets out of his group which if he was playing well he would probably do anyway? He'll have to come through one of Djokovic/Murray/Berdych/Tsonga in the semi to win.

Only if Fed had Murray AND Berdych would he not be a massive favourite to go through to the semis. To win he'll still probably have to beat 2 of Djokovic, Murray, Berdych plus maybe Delpo. A lot better than let's say Nadal's MC 2010, Rome 2010, RG 2010, USO 2010..

Draw-fixing conspiracies?

Where were you when Federer and Djokovic were selected together in every projected Grand Slam semifinal. You were somehow tragically mute then, right?

This year's H2H is 2-1 to Murray. Berdych's one victory came on clay.

Last year in Paris, in the same conditions, Berdych beat Murray.

I hope you're joking. I was as vocal as can be in all the threads that discussed whether the systematic pairing of Nadal/Murray and Fed/Djoko in all slams outside of clay was "normal". I've always been firmly rooted in the "no" camp.

yeah but only in the "I can't believe Djokovic got stitched up again!" way and not the "Wow nadal avoided his hardcourt nightmare again and Fed has to play him"

Anyway as I said, Fed's won this tournament with hard draws before, and this group only means he gets to the semis which he would be massive favourite to do anyway unless he got both Murray and Berdych. Once in the semis he still has to beat one of those tough guys in the other group and then someone else in the final. So your "hand him the title" outcries are ridiculous and over the top.

Handing him the title is carrying it a bit far but the draw has helped him massively! Ferrer and Tipsarevic are two guys he is likely to beat comfortably on any surface but indoors it is likely to be relatively quick and not too physically taxing! Del Po is the only one in that group that can test Roger!

Yes he would still have to beat Murray/Djokovic/Berdych but they would have played more longer enduring matches (Murray v Djokivic nearly always a long physical tussle, and Murray v Berdych also quite long matches too) they could be ripe for the taking for Roger in semis because he is fresher!

The draw may not have handed him the cup but from where I am standing it's made his task a whole lot easier!
