Its not a myth ,his flat forehand will make the retrieval nearly impossible and grinding rallies from the baseline very very unlikely. I think murray also admitted one time ( dont remember when) that feds game suit faster surfaces.

Those are giant accomplishments, especially 1072 matches without a single retirement.

The most interesting stat mentioned was that Tipsy hadn't even gotten a break point against Fed since 2008. That is unbelievable domination.

Federer grew up beating Hewitt and the likes. He is most comfortable with people who have no weapons to hurt him, like Davydenko or Ferrer.

Not sure why but he used to be known as very good at neutralizing big hitters. This may have been true in his prime, but not any time since 2009. Federer + a big hitter these days => world of hurt for the fans watching.
