G.O.A.T.
|
The Truth on tennis.com said this "Federer surpassed 3 records with that win. He has now played 1072 matches on the ATP circuit, surpassing Stefan Edberg's mark of 1071. He surpassed John McEnroe's record of 875 match wins and now has 876. Finally, he passed Ivan Lendl who won 39 matches at this event and Federer now has 40. He's reached the stage where he breaks records every time he plays."

Not sure why but he used to be known as very good at neutralizing big hitters. This may have been true in his prime, but not any time since 2009. Federer + a big hitter these days => world of hurt for the fans watching. |
