They will be released in January. The Roddick Signature is still on the foot belt. I think they are really ugly. I have some pics too; but I'll save those for later. Those are the mental notes I took while looking at the brochure that Babolat sends out to its dealers.

Mostly black with some yellow. it is about the same weight. one of their new features is a much thinner velcro strap on the heel.it will now be the only babolat shoe with a 6 month durability guarantee.

Exactly; Also, I wouldn't call it APD yellow, more just general yellow.

The Propulse 3 definitely looked better. Babolat needs a new design team, first the HORRID new APD, AND these NOT SO GREAT looking shoes.

Wouldn't be surprised if they remove the roddick signature on retail versions- remember, these designs will have been mocked up long before his retirement

As mentioned earlier because the shoe was planned & designed last year, before he retired.
The shoe has a different sole unit, changes to this should improve grip on slippery hardcourts. The ankle strap is also smaller, shorter? & ventilation is improved. I think the shoes look great but that is obviously subjective. On the other hand, I was less impressed with the matching 2013 apparel line. I liked the colourway on the propulse 3 & the 2012 Performance clothing range. We will have to wait & see how the propulse 4s perform. clothing is less important for babolat. |

If they improved the durability, I'd consider switching back. I'll stick with the B7's if not. I was very unimpressed with the durability of the hyped up Michelin outsole but the shoes fit brilliantly.

Durability is awful but at least you get another pair out of them unlike the Vapor 9s. The only thing I didn't like about the Babolat was the poor forefoot cushioning. The tread is amazing, best traction of any shoe I used so far.

I was planning to do the same exact thing as you! If the propulse 4's durability is bad im buying the Barricade 7's. I honestly think that they should end their partnership with michelin because to me the outsole durability is what brings this shoe down
