Can't believe the French Tennis Federation (Philippe Chatrier) did everything he could so that people wouldn't know that De Camaret was raping young girls. How many more coaches are being protected by their federations? |

Yeah well, however bad it is, it happens everywhere. Ans everywhere people dont want it to get Messy. It's terrible but i guess Its also in human nature Ans especially with the sex driven society of today. I just hope these girls Can recover and have à relatively normal life

Girls and women are coming forward all over the world, indicating that large segments of teachers and doctors earmark certain victimized girls at a young age for abuse. And instead of it getting reported, they get increasingly inserted into another ready and willing group.

I heard the French tennis federation is going to ask Nathalie Tauziat to resign for the comments she made during her former coach's trial. The Telegraph UK newspaper published an article about it the other day.

Sexual abuse such as that with coaches (in many sports) has a lot to do with power over a person who is, or is perceived to be in a vulnerable position, often with young women but with young men as well (see hockey and footballl coaches) . When a person holds the power they can do what they want with the person they dominate. Humiliate them by ceaselessly yelling at them and verbally degrading them, criticizing them, or sexually abusing them. Ego driven people are often prone to do this as are people who have been abused themselves. And no, very often the victims never recover despite endless years of therapy and for some of them suicide is the only relief.
