Default Where does DJOKOVIC stand now?

Do you remember when people on here were comparing his career to the likes of roddick and courier, well where does he stand now? Can he get to the respect levels of rafa then roger or will it just come down to slam count to decide that.

Dude. 5 majors. 13 MS titles, 2 YEC, 2 YE#1 finishes.

Not even on Agassi Level yet. Hell, not even on McEnroe level yet.

Djok is doing good. His fans have much to be happy about with what he has achieved so far and what is to come. Enjoy his journey, Djokovic fans! . I have to look for another favourite player. Maybe, Nole!

Edberg/Becker territory. But don't worry, he still has at least 2-3 years to be up there maybe even with Nadal.

Default Open era rankings based on masters 1000 equivalents and greater

Becker = (6 x 2) + ((3 + 1*) x 1.4)) + (4 x 1.2) + (13 x 1) = 35.4

Djokovic = (5 x 2) + (2 x 1.4) + (4 x 1.2) + (13 x 1) = 30.6

Edberg = (6 x 2) + (1 x 1.4) + (5 x 1.2) + (8 x 1) = 27.4

Wilander = (7 x 2) + (0 x 1.4) + (4 x 1.2) + (8 x 1) = 26.8

* WCT finals

Weightings: Slams - 2x, wtf - 1.4 x (average of unbeaten and 1 round robin loss winner), slam runner ups - 1.2 x, masters 1000 - 1 x

NOTE: You may disagree with the weightings. But remember these are not my weightings. They are the present ATP weightings for tournaments.

If you want to see the top 12 in the open era see my thread posted today.

He is dominating THIS decade! but we will just see how much he dominates like Federer dominated the 2000-2010 decade (in the broad spectrum he won the most)

He'll never be in the GOAT debate but he'll definitely end up as an all time great

You never know, the surfaces play right into his hand. Funnily I think only Murray can stop him(if he gets his head straight, big IF I know!)

Whats he got only 5 slams? He would have to seriously start racking up the slams (3 a year for the next 2-3 years) and needs have to long reign at #1 to be put into GOAT talk.

Hes already 25 and while still dominant to a degree, he would have to have a few more 2011 type years.

His window won't be as big as someone like Fed, Petes or Andre's because he has to run around the court so much and he can't dominate a surface like Say Fed or Pete did on grass and the USO or Nadal on clay.

Unless he somehow wins the next 4-5 AO's which is something he would HAVE to do. Because he can't dominate Flushing or Wimbledon or the French.
