6/10 top ten players will participate in this tournament and one of the most important things is that Nadal returns on the court for the first time since Wimbledon.

Players:

Novak Djokovic
Andy Murray
Rafael Nadal
David Ferrer
Tomas Berdych
Janko Tipsarevic

Nadal's wasting his time with this tournament. He should be making his first comeback in a clay tournament to get the knee accustomed to the softer court before trying to compete on a hard surface.

So what you're trying to say, would be better for him to skip AO?

Well, Rafa is out... I wonder how that will affect the draw. Will the winner of Murray/Tipsy get a W/O to the final?

ETA: Apparently Rafa will be replaced. Not sure though if Andy now gets the BYE to the semis or if Murray/Tipsy play as planned and someone else gets it. They will keep us posted.

Good that he's skipping this if he's still not 100% but hope it's not too long before he returns. On the one hand I want him to be out until Roland Garros so Federer has a shot there, on the other hand I want Nadal to be back asap so that tennis becomes more interesting. Yes I know Nadal's game in itself is a bit moonballish but you have to admit he plays a completely different style than anyone else and I do miss it a bit.

Almagro replaces Rafa. Murray plays Tipsy as planned.

Meanwhile, Murray has landed in AD.

Sounds a bit off to me. Why the heck should Almagro get Nadal's bye and go straight to the semis? Murray should now get the bye and Almagro should play Tipsarevic!

I think Ferrer will win this, because he works hard in every single match. Does Djokovic need to play Hopman Cup? He's likely to go easy on Ferrer and lose in the semis, Ferrer V Murray in the final. Murray will act stupid like he did against Roddick in Miami because it's an exho. Djokovic gets 3rd place.

It's Thursday, Friday, Saturday, because the first ATP tournaments start on December 31st.

Organizers probably didn't want to ruin schedule, for example, when Federer withdrew from Paris, they were just put Victor Hanescu on his place in the draw...

Murray seems to shorten points more, or at least try

Maybe he's got a plane to catch

Some nice points from both guys. Tipsy was pretty solid - Murray was going for lots more than he usually does - hence the high UE - although some of them were plain sloppy.

Off to Brisbane!

Murray doesn't get exhibitions, they're suppose to be light hearted and fun. He took it a little too seriously out there.

Nevertheless, you can see Murray's trying to end points quicker - bit sloppy like batz said at times but heh, it's an exho.
