The rain is a sign that the benevolent spirits of nature continue to watch over me, preventing my mortal coil from over-heating in its toil.

The spirits of nature also look after Mr. Bentley Harrington III, as their gentle rain combined with the tires of massive plow trucks (driven by my fellow men who partake in the cathartic satisfaction of physical labor, and a day's work well done) have packed the heavenly gift of snow into a thick slushy ice which overmatches Ben's (the shovel insists that I refer to him as "Ben" in casual settings, proper protocol be damned) capabilities thereby ensuring him periods of rest at times when I am forced to employ his half-brother, the spade-shovel Worthington.

I tip my hat in gratitude to the nature spirits for their assistance in conditioning my physical being, as well as my agile mind, and indomitable will.

Any thoughts of switching or demoing other shovels? Or does that one give adequate flex and feel?

Unfortunately my local Home Depot has a rather restrictive demo program.

Only I would have to choose between two purple and green plaid shirts for Mardi Gras.

It's not easy being Jolly.

Roses are dumb, and violets are silly, so grease up your flaps, 'cause here comes my Willy.

Broke the strings in the prestige tonight. If they last longer in the 18x20 it is a marginal amount, not a holy crap amount.

Broke the strings in my Wilson this morning, as soon as I started hitting with a fresh stringjob my hitting partner said my ball jumped a foot to a foot and a half higher.

Nothing like fresh Luxilon.

Jolly, how many Ks do you have left? You look like Delpo playing with that paintjob,

All my original ones are in the big tennis park in the sky, currently I have one new K, and two gently used ones.

Going to be lean times come spring.

you should keep one K90 in a safe place without using it anymore... just in case you run out and want to remember what it used to feel like at some point in the future.

I got one new one my friend had in his store left for years, and two other gently used ones.

Tough to find in 5/8.

When I decide against the Prestige, I will go all out in search of old K90s.

Or pray that the 2014 tour 90 isn't made of spit and sawdust like the BLXPS.

So are you changing to the Prestige?

No, I think I will get one or possibly two more for the summer, and use them to practice over the summer, but I will play matches with the Wilsons.

Doesn't the racket change for matches require some adjusting? Why not just play with one and get used to it?

I don't have enough frames anymore, it is not uncommon for me to go through 5 stringjobs in a summer weekend.

But having played basically the same racquet for 7 years I don't need to worry about forgetting how to play with it.

I am far more likely to be sabotaged by my own incompetence than equipment.
