I look into the eyes of the people I see in the street and elsewhere, for the most part.

BBC, YES.

Sadly, as an American, I have to get much of my news of what is going on in the USA from the BBC.

Thanks for mentioning the BBC, almost forgot.

Very good point, and we certainly need the BBC to be in the know of things going on outside the US.

If you're lucky many cable providers do have BBC "America" lol. However it is usually just Gordon Ramsey and Top Gear and Dr. Who, however I cannot complain with that. I also really enjoy Reuters and the New York Times (which had some of the best election coverage IMO). NPR is excellent as well, however listening to them on the radio puts me to sleep. To be quite honest, if it's just about regular "news" it's basically the same amongst all channels, however one must be careful and avoid the punditry that plagues the airwaves these days.

I use a really great iphone app called News 360
You get all the latest news and for each subject you have access to all newspapers website with the related article
Very complete and saves time too as you can see how an info is brought from different point of views

Ok, thanks for the suggestion.
Do they have all of the ones i mentioned...? Some of them are quite democratic and free in that they are sponsored by viewers and or subscriptions more so than ads.
That can allow for great indepth kinds of journalism and broader views.
