Default Why don't pros use snake style dampeners?

Almost every pro seems to use the button style dampeners, but I've always thought that the snake style offers much better dampening. Why are button dampeners so popular on tour?

ugly, and i think they're substantial enough that the weight is noticeable, and unwelcomed.

probably because those type of dampeners take so much feel out of the string bed, which most likely not to most players preference.

Because as ARod, Agassi and numerous other pros perfectly go to show - rubber bands are more effective.

and then theres the double stringed dampener( absolutely no feel) and the head string dampener. very lame looking and can take away the feel of the string bed.

i think the main purpose of these dampeners are for the over sized racquets because there is a bigger stringbed thus a bigger dampener will be needed to dampen a proportional size.

thats why the pros dont use the string dampeners, they all play with players racquets either mid plus or lower.

for me its all about the sampras dampener on my k 95!

Because the snake dampeners secretly turn into real snakes and kill the pros using them
