Default How much does playing racquetball hurt?

So while I'm at school, I can never find anyone to play with. It seems like the only people that play are busy and/or don't want to play with me, or are on the tennis team and WAY out of my league. I can, however, find alot of people to play racquetball with. The result of this is that I am playing alot of racquetball and not alot of tennis. Going back to a tournament I played with my dad a couple weekends ago, my topspin forehand was alot better than I expected it to be after a month off of tennis but my backhand suffered bigtime. This is pretty standard and expected so I'm not complaining about that but I'm wondering if I should just not play anything or continue to play racquetball when I can? Which do you think will hurt my game more?

I used to play a fair bit of racquetball as a way to get some extra fitness work in. I didn't feel that it hurt my tennis at all from a technique point of view, and it did keep my movement and fitness sharp for tennis.

Then again, my racquetball friends used to tell me that my technique is awful and that I look like I'm playing tennis on the racquetball court

My racquetball career ended when I tore my Achilles tendon playing racquetball. That hurt my tennis a lot, to the tune of 9 months recovery. Heck, that just *hurt* a lot, period.

Terrible to hear about your ACL, my friends say much of the same about my racquetball though. Probably why I lose.

Played racketball ball in college during winter. Technique is completely different. Closer to a wristy flat slapping motion. I had a hard time transitioning back and forth. Other than that it's my second fave sport. Great for fitness.
