Hi everyone, I am looking for some advice on which racquet I should switch to. I am currently playing with the Wilson KBlade 98 (weighted to about 340g) and am a college player. I am torn between either the new Wilson Blade 16x19, or the Head YOUTEK IG Speed 16x19. I am a big server, use a lot of different spins, love to chip the backhand, and look to come to the net whenever I can. The reason I want to switch from the kblade is because I want a more open string pattern. Also, I have played with the Head IG Speed, in which I like a lot and appreciate the extra head size. But I have not demoed or tried the new blades. I'm assuming I would really like the new blade though due to the amplifeel and the obvious open string pattern. I would add lead tape to either one. Thoughts? Thank you.

Personally I think the blades feel more solid than the speeds.

Never used a speed, but my buddy loves his speed 300s. That being said, I really like the blx blade 98 (gold). It's as solid as a rock.

if you are talking brand go head Wilson is very inconsistent from frame to frame weight wise and balance.

Pretty similar racket specs (as you know). You just need to demo to find out which works better for you.
If you are going to mod it up to 340 grams, you might look at the Prestige Pro also. |

From what you describe I'd also give the Rebel 95 a whirl, but out of those two I'd definitely stick with Wilson, the blade is very solid.

Maybe you can demo Volkl C10pro 2012. It's not a Wilson or Head racket. But according to the specs, I think you will like it, 98inch head size, open string pattern, stable and comfortable.
