My daughter is going to be 14 next month.
She has been using the same rackuets for the last 3 years. She hits hard ,has powerful serves. She is not so consistant, some shots can go wild. She takes classes and plays about 5 times a week. She is not so tall. I really want to buy her new rackuets, but she said no,she is not interested in to try another rackuet. Any ideas ? |

You could treat her to some nice natural gut strings.

Sounds fine to me if she likes it and doesn't want to change. Why do you want her to change?

Just saw the new Tecnifibre Rebound Pro 295 grams, looks great. Comes strung. Racket is designed for the female player. Will be in store Jan 1.

Give her some yonex demos. They are good for many female players and allows a comfy sweet spot with control and power. They also play massive spin.

There's something blindingly obvious to me that no-one's mentioned. If the racquet was the right length when she was 11, it can't be the right length for her now. If that's the case, it's something her Coach should have noticed. Most Coaches have racquets.....a 2nd hand racquet's the sensible thing to buy at that age. Since she's small, she's probably not ready for a 27" yet.
My daughter's older.....had the same stubborness/reluctance to change. I basically presented her with something new, confident it would be better, & it worked, twice. By the time she got to a 27" she knew what she liked & didn't. |

That's nice. Buy her something fun to play with so she starts to enjoy playing tennis. Then you can focus on game performance sticks. I wouldn't narrow out tweeners to just get her comfortable. The pure drive might be good for her.
