BLXPS95 Users, arm pain from amplifeel?

Decided to post a poll to get a general idea of how many people are getting discomfort in the arms or wrist from the metal shanks that the BLX 6.1 Pro Staff 95 has underneath the grip.

I really liked this frame in a demo, but didn't get a whole lot of time in with it during my weeklong demo. So I'm asking from you long-term users of this stick.. are you having any issues from the Amplifeel?

Head Microgel Extreme MP, but I'm currently listing the pair. No issues with discomfort with it, just not my cup of tea is all.

Elbow pain started about two months after starting to use this frame, and got more serious each time.

About a month ago I started using a Babolat Pure Storm instead. Now the pain is almost gone.

Maybe next month I will pick up the Amplifeel and try again?

Div 1 singles player number 2 uses them leaded up and he hasn't report any arm pain with them. When I demoed them I didn't have any pain either.

There are no metal shanks. They are little strips of graphite and basalt fibers. I would think that arm pain with the PS 95 is more likely due to the low swingweight of the frame - which means more impact shock to the arm - than from any slight change in vibration effected by the amplifeel "technology".

Corners has it correct. I don't own ps6.1 95 but have demo-ed it twice and like it. No problem with pain. I find it toward the comfortable end due to its very solid feel and low flex. I added 6g at 3&9 o'c and 2g at 12 o'c to last demo with overgrip and it was very comfortable. I have read in another thread that the "metal shank" is a misunderstanding. Many wilson's have the shank inside the handle. The amplifeel is simply small - maybe 1"by4" - strips under the replacement grip.

Corners is right - if anything, lead it up a bit for power and stability and this is an extremely comfortable racket. But, it is still not as good as my customized Volkl o10 295. By the way, if you like thin beam wilson's, you should try the volkl o10 325 and o10 295. I went o10 295 customized to 343, sw 335, 6 hl and it is great - like a wilson but better.

I would definitely be leading the frame up if I end up acquiring them. I've just seen multiple posts by people who say it causes discomfort, and wanted to create a thread to see if this is a very common thing or relatively isolated.

i leaded the blx PS95 at 12 , the racket vibrates on every shot and it caused me a serious wrist injury that prevented me from tennis for 6 months. ( need to add also that i used to string it with Alu Power, which is a very harsh string on the arm ) though it was the best racket i have ever used and i loved its low swing weight.

now that my wrsit is a bit better, i will add some more lead at 3 & 9 and string with nothing but Natural gut, then we'll see ...
