Is it true roger federer add 8G of lead to 12 o'clock?

I think the amount of lead priority one put on the top of his racquets varies as each racquet weight can vary a fair bit from Wilson? His racquets weigh much less than the retail then weight is added to the handle and the head to bring the weight up to apparently 364 grams and balance a bit over 32 cm?

The retail tour 90 is heavier than his stock, so if you add more lead on top it will I think be heavier and be harder to move than his? Should hit a massive ball if you are strong enough to swing it though!

There's a picture around here of a bunch of Fed racquets without the bumper and you can see the lead tape at 12:00. The length of the tape varies quite a bit - probably due to variances between racquets.

My two extremes were 10g different from stock. I've had them leaded up and matched, to the eye they look diff but play the same. Wilson, head especially, there quality control is shocking.

If it is the generic 1/4 inch lead tape, then it is a very few grams.

I think it would be. Federer must also use a slightly lighter stock version than the regulat Wilson Six One Tour, because getting a 340 gr. unstrung racket plus strings plus overgrip and lead at 12 o'clock to weigh in at 364 gr does not seem possible to me.

If it is only 2-3 grams of lead, then it is not totally off.

Nathan Ferguson, Feds racket technician, said ist a retail racket and the only lead customization is 1-3 grams at 12 oclock.

340 g unstrung + strings 15 g, plus these 6 or 8 leather things and stringsavers, plus overgrip + the lead mentioned above = 364 gr

It really depends on what you want. I think the reg K90 is better for leading up because it is more HL to start with. Adding a lot of weight on 12 and then if you are getting a 2pt HL stick or less is hard for me to maneuver. It will become a pure baseline stick and kind of defeat the purpose a little.
