Default Protection tape + lead tape at 3 & 9 : what's effect ?

Because I take care of my gear, I used to put protection tape from 2 to 10 o'clock with a weight at 3g.
I have heard that it could be nice to add lead tape at 3 & 9 o'clock to increase plowthrough and stability. So, I thought to add 2g (1g on each side).

What could be the effect (beneficial or not) of this mass distributed on all the above half the hoop ?

More head-heavy, higher swingweight. But those are just words. Best way to find out is to just try it and see for yourself. If you don't like it, it's easy enough to go back.

In general, lead customization to increase swingweight is at 12 o'clock or at 3 & 9 o'clock but not the both.
Is there a good reason ?

Haven't heard of that before. Its ok to have weight in both locations or more.

You can lead whole hoop if you want, but if you add lead at more locations, racquet swingweight increase too much, so players usually prefer just one location, where they benefit from lead most.
