Cheezz, are we still talking about the same Fed who just made the WTF final barely a month ago? And who gave a good beating of Murray who was supposed to have his breakthrough year by a score of 6-2 in the 2nd set? How can you and other people see such a DRASTIC decline both physically and mentally from Fed in 2013 compared to 2012? Even on FO, probably his worst surface, he made SF in 2012, and lost to Djoker, very likely due to his previous long QF against DelPo. His new schedule was also lighter, so it's not like he's killing himself playing every single Master out there. IMO, Djoker represents the biggest thread to Fed. Murray, DelPo,Tsonga, and Berdieman (in that order) are in the second group who can give Fed some run for his money ONLY under the condition that they're ON and Fed is OFF on that given day. I have to wait to see Rafa before making any judgement. Either he's between Djoker and the 2nd group I mentioned, or below the 2nd group, based on how fast he gets back in his match-ready shape.
To me, Fed will SF in every GS. Getting through and winning the final, that's another matter. All depends on how exhausting his SF win, his serve, the identity of his opponent, etc.

Looks like a Santoro-like end for Federer... (although Santoro was more skilled than Federer)
You never cease to amaze me with your predictions!!!
Such a devotion! Such a blind faith in Rafa! RG for the next 5 years!??? Let's see how Rafa behaves on court this AO before making any serious judgement. Me, I give him perhaps 1, at most 2 more FO IF (this is a big IF) his body doesn't break down before that, and Djoker STOPS IMPROVING ON CLAY. Next 5 FO? Can't stop shaking my head...

At this point, i still think he has a pretty good chance to win both the USO and Wimbledon. Slightly less at the French, and AO

I think the real X factor for 2013 will be Nadal. I mean seriously, I wouldn't be shocked if he came back and won 2 slams or something, but on the flipside, If the health problems linger, he also might not be the same player as before.

Federer will still make deep runs in the slams, perhaps winning them (something could happen again in 2014?) but his overall consistency is starting to fade, just at a slow rate. It will come to a point where he loses in the QF stage of majors. At all of them. Might not be next year, but it's coming. Still, that's an impressive feat as nobody else, to my knowledge would have achieved that or been a lock for the QF round (at least) for years.

Btw, 17 > 11, Federer weeks at #1 > Rafa's weeks at #2.
