I'm really looking forward to seeing this video. I kind of wish there were more videos out there of big mismatches like this-- would be an interesting change of pace, and maybe an instructive one.

I'd also like to see the full video of Roddick beating that guy with the frying pan.

Clearly you are not recognizing the "power" of a great, hard serve wide. My friend is a fellow 4.5 and can serve 120+. No doubt a serve like that could ace ANYONE if placed right, no matter if it was a 2.5 or Fed himself.

Score - 7-3

I agree, the Pros are not Gods and untouchable.

A 4.5 is not going to get 3 points in a tiebreak off of a professional tennis player on the ATP World Tour

1 point if he is lucky! There is no way the 4.5s can win 7-0 every time!

the pros aren't gods, no, but they are so far above 4.5 it is funny.

I always think of myself as a hacker, and I'm pretty confident I could bagel a 4.5 in a TB if I really concentrated...

Show's people in this board over-rate 4.5's maybe they look up to 4.5's. A pro 7.0 would win 7-0 maybe even with his off hand.

If both 4.5's served to the pro at the same time I could see it being a tight tiebreak.

Sort of.

According to LeeD, his 3.0 windsurf friends can serve 130mph.

With this info, can you imagine what 2 4.5 windsurfers could do to a tennis pro?? Total massacre.

I'd just swing for the fences and hope for the best. If you are going to lose, you might as well just be aggressive and go for it.

Now, I CAN serve very big, it's just that I don't really know where it's going or can't get the first serve in that often. I hit first serves, I win. I hit second serves, I lose badly. By that logic, a first serve would give me a relative shot of getting a ball to hit after the return and given enough luck (boatloads as I'd just cream it without any care in the world), my rally ball would go in and force an error. And a second serve, while spinny, would just result in the pro killing the return.

You're right, that 4.5, 120+ serve, is something Fed has only seen, perfectly placed, about 10,000,000 or more times, but it could trick him.

Here's the link to the event. Anyone here is more than welcomed to come down and check it out live if you're in the Montreal area.

Also post your official score predictions on the comment section if you want to win a Wilson Wimbledon poster autographed by Filip!

who is going to serve first in the tie breaker?? If the amateurs serve first.. he will get nervous and push the ball in so the score would be 7-1 .. If the Pro serve first, the amateurs just whack it in some how so the score would be 7-3 ..

4.0 for sure, but within the 4.5 ranks, there are cherrypickers and there are guys who stretch to play at that level.
Lots of former Div1 MEN play at 4.5 levels, 10 years out of school.
Div1 woman would be a strong 5.5, or about a 4.8 level man.
Then there is the question of matchups. Some females can crush returns of serves coming in at 130mph. Other's might get intimidated by a big strong net rusher and server.
It'd be close.
