Many tennis historicians give it a great consideration when they analize the 1949 season.
All that I know is that Kramer defeated Budge in the final, but who else was in the starting fields? Riggs? Segura? |

Federic, It's hard to decide if it was a major equivalent. I would not count the Scarborough win to Kramer's majors' tally.
