Good USTA Membership Renewal Deal 818

I just renewed my membership for 1 year with an offer that got me a 2013 US Open hat and an undated US Open Cinch Bag. 2 items! It was source code 818. I thought it was a great deal. It's good until the end of the year. I wasn't due to renew until February but I decided to go ahead and do it now. It added onto my membership.

If you know you are going to play USTA for a long time the 5 year renewal with the tennis backpack is a better deal.

With the life time memberships they use to offer the USTA leather jackets. I haven't seen anybody wear on yet -lol

IMO the backpack is a piece of trash. I would have rather had a couple of hats or even one hat.

Did you get the new red and black ones? I haven't used it but it is sitting in my closet till my other one wears out. On brief inspection it looks fairly sturdy and reasonably well made. Maybe I didn't look close enough?

I did my 5 year renewal in 2010 so maybe the backpacks are different now. IIRC, the one I got was red and blue but that doesn't mean its the same one they're giving out now. I would certainly hope not as the one I got was very flimsy. I donated it to our club to be used as a door prize and I've never seen the person who won it use it at all. In fact, I know other people who've gotten them for renewing their USTA memberships and never seen anyone actually use them.

got the 3yr renewal deal last year. 3 freebies. red us open hat, which my wife likes. long sleeve us open t. and the us open backpack. it's way more sturdy than i expected. nylon canvas. mostly blue with black trim. us open design in white on front. works great for two rackets, balls, towel... (wouldn't load it up with a ton of books, obviously) totally awesome freebie. don't know how to add a pic here. so, go to the bay, put in New US Open Tennis Racquet Blue Backpack Bag. auction ends in two weeks. same bag.
