Default attn: NCAA coaches looking to recruit from canada

this is the college tennis video of a girl I sometimes train with at the club I belong to. figured I'd share it here since she's looking for a program to join for next season.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QlDHZ28fbZI

other than the fact that she has a very smooth backhand, she has a great work ethic and attitude, and I'm sure in a good team environment she can improve even more, in singles and in doubles. also, she comes from a very laid-back, but extremely athletic family. her brother will most likely be drafted in the next NHL entry draft, and her younger sister is nationally ranked in tennis as well.

I realize this isn't the age of innocence but did she really have to use a song that says F*** 'em as clear as day even before the one minute mark? (at 44 seconds)

Not sure that is appealing to everyone.

Yes, that would be a negative mark against her character. I would hope she didn't realize it was in there but it is pretty obvious, it's repeated over and over again, as well as other objectional words. Not really a nice thing to do to curse at potential coaches. It really is objectional to force people to listen to this to evaluate a player.
Probably will remove her from consideration at Baylor.

Also, one of my pet peeves is that the music is so loud that it makes it hard to hear the ball contact. It isn't a music video, the tennis is supposed to be the important thing.

Not really any dispute to whether they know the music is playing, see the footnote on the YouTube page.

As poor taste as it is, I bet most coaches mute their computers rather than listen to all the nonsense kids send in.

strokes look nice but easily fed balls and half the time you never see where the ball lands. Would rather see match play against similar level competition. Also could do without the music.

EVERYTHING is a *!&! music video these days. If I turn on an NFL game, the intro is some %^$!! music video. Same with tennis broadcasts. I wish the pre-game were an insightful analysis of the athletes, but that is not an option today. Apparently, they think everyone wants to listen to their noise.

You also had the "mother fu-kers" too later on in the song.

Lovely.

Yikes, didn't know it went further downhill, I stopped watching at the 1 minute mark after the first blurb. Guessing some coaches would do the same. Good judgement is a valued character trait coaches look for in a recruit.....

Seems like a solid player. I like the one handed backhand. Notice she uses the extreme forehand grip...but doesn't seem like a problem for her. Yes, I agree, some real match footage would be better if integrated in the video. As for the music...maybe she should change it to:

Most coaches would recruit Hitler or Thatcher if it got them one more win.

Music is to hide the sounds of her heavy footsteps.

Choice of music needs to change.

Is there someone named "Thatcher" who is comparable to Adolph Hitler?
