Default What's your fastest completed match

Had a league match the other night..won 6-2, 6-0 in 37 minutes. My first serve percentage was thru the roof!! So what's your fastest completed match? No retires or defaults..

Once won a league match 6-0, 6-0 in just under 30 minutes. In fact, we started early and one of the other courts arrived late so we finished just as the last court was finished with their warm up.

In a tournament I had a total blowout against one of the top guys in my NTRP division. After the match I asked the pro what was up and he said the guy was tanking to keep his NTRP rating from going up.

Jeez..that's fast. I had time to drink a 6 pack waiting for the other matches to finish. My wife drove me home...

In high school I had a lot of double-bagel wins completed in under 30 minutes. Got within a point of achieving a golden set on a few occasions.

As an adult I've had few 0 and 0 blowouts in under 30 min - played a big all-county tournament a few years in a row where the talent level ranges from weekend hack to open level players so the first round is usually pretty ugly if you don't get a bye, very little resistance until you get 2-3 rounds into the draw.

At 18, I played a guy who went on to win a couple ACC singles titles in a tourney.

I don't think either of us broke a sweat.

Played a USTA doubles match in the spring with a strong partner against two unfortunately weak opponents (a weak 3.0 paired with a 2.5 that was competing in her first match play ever). We won that match 0 & 1 in a bit over 30 minutes.

Then my partner and I played a long 7-5 set of singles against each other while waiting for our teammates to finish their matches.

I played a guy that just got bumped from 4 to 4.5 in his first match post bump. Beat him 0&1.... winning 6 straight games, he held at love, then I won 6 more in a row. Don't think any of the games got to deuce & it was around a 30 minute match. Felt bad for him because I am a stunningly average 4.5 and he was just out if his league. He was promptly bumped back down to 4 for next year.

fastest loss: 0-6 0-6 against a former #1 junior in Canada (he played against Pospisil growing up and was pretty neck-to-neck with him rankings wise in the juniors. also had a win over raonic but because he's a couple of years older). I actually had a break point on his first service game, but then he hit a kick serve ace out wide and that was pretty much it. match might've lasted 35 or 40 minutes

fastest win: 6-0 6-0 when I played high school in Norcal. Im not known to be a guy who finishes his matches quickly, so it was the only time the entire season where I was the first to come off the court (or get a double bagel, for that matter)

About 30 minutes or so. On the other end, years ago I lost double bagel to a #1 ranked USTA age group guy - and used two injury timeouts and stalling to prolong the time to a somewhat respectable approx 45 minutes. )

When I started to play again in '08 I won a few matches quickly just due to the nature of 3.0. Lots of double fautls, few rallies, 30-40 minutes.

I had a match about 20 years ago where I got blown out in about 30 minutes to the club pro, eked out a breadstick to go with my bagel.

Less than 2 minutes (like a Tyson fight). Hit him in the nuts with a serve...I claimed the point and the match (retired).

Right under 30 minutes when I blew up mentally and ate a double bagel!

C'mon. You gotta give him a 5 min injury TO.

not sure its possible to lose faster, or win faster, than 35 or so minutes, give or take a few!

I remember a college tourny open, i played some kid from somewhere in new england, had the craziest kick serve with perfect placement. I might have lost under 30 mins!

I remember back in 2006 when I was a 3.0 doing fairly well and thought I would be a big shot in a local tournament and play 3.5 singles.

(I was 27 at the time)
Some old man in his 60's gave me a 6-0, 6-0 double bagel beating in about 37 minutes.

I remember a guy beating the hell out of me in Augusta about 6 years ago like 1 and 1. It seems like it was right at the 37 minute mark(we haven't played have we?lol) Seriously...it was nothing I could do and he didn't give a damn whether he was hitting to my forehand or backhand. I almost ran into him at a tourney I played this year but he got beat before I could play him again in the finals. I did win the tourney but it would have been much more satisfying had I got to beat him.lol Some @$$whippings you just don't forget about. I've some others where I've been dragged across the pavement but that was probably the worst.

Peace,

My partner and I were both on fire a few weeks ago in 7.5 combo and dished out a 6-0, 6-0 beatdown at line #1 in 32 minutes. I think we only lost 11 points for the entire match. The funny thing is that our line #2 lost to the same pair in a 10-pt tie-breaker just last week. We still haven't stopped giving them grief about it
