Nah, I'm just kidding. She was utterly normal, except for the licking.

Funny thing, though. In a changeover, she said she remembered that we played against one another in a mixed match this winter.

I'm pretty sure we shook hands.

:shudder:

Is that "normally" cute or "normally" ugly?--guys have different parameters for assessing looks. I'm still up in the air on the hand licking--depending.

It'll come to be that, after the final point, all the players will pull out a rubber glove and slip it on, preparing for the post-match handshake...

Hey at least she gave you the heads up. Might be weird but at least considerate!

Maybe she was making a suggestive move on you by mentioning it? Explore the dark side...

Next time just suggest a friendly bro-fist instead of the shake. Unless she licked her knuckles too...

It's official. Now I've seen everything.
Wow. That's all I can say. Wow.

We should not be so germ-a-phobic. A little spit isn't going to hurt you. Baseball pitchers lick their fingers all the time and the catcher and other players handle the ball. I am sure the pitcher doesn't wash his hands before he shakes hands with teammates at the end of the game.

Lately, with winter almost here, most player's touch rackets, not hands. You can always claim you have a bad cold.
When I was younger I licked my tossing hand all the time.

Why? Habit, or did you feel it increase your grip? Just curious.
