Default Can this racquet be restrung?

Please look at the pictures link in this thread - http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showt...07#post7066507

Would the 12o'clock clamp make this worse the next time(s) I get it restrung? When I hit with it, the frame feels plenty stable but there's a "ping" sound even with a worm dampener on it. I thought it may have been the strings, but as you can see from that thread, that's not thought to be the case by someone who uses the strings.

Just put some tape on it, a tue crack will continue to grow when you hit with it.

can be restrung, but may not survive the entire stringing proceess. eventually, the frame will fail as you continue to play with it. may be in 1 month, 1 year or 1 decade. no one knows.

Errrrrrr.. Hard to tell from the picture. If you have your own stringer, go try it. Might just be a paint fracture or the 1st stage of it starting to crack. Has it been expanding at all during play? Have you noticed a difference in feel before and after you hit with the racquet?

I had something like that on a Prince O3 Shark Hybrid (the same one that I "chopped") and the fracture just grew bigger and bigger.

I have just hit with it a couple of times, got it recently. The crack hasn't changed much visually and all I've noticed is the ping, the racquet itself seemed to feel stable.

I figured that's what was going to happen, I just didn't know if it would be due to the stringing process or hitting with it.

How was this probably happen? Clamping the stringing machine too tight at 12o'clock?
